Orange Tulip Hotel Amsterdam - Hostel

The room and the room is clean. However, it is too small to stay. It is supposed to be a twin room, but the bed is just a two-level bed, which is different from the figure shown in the web. I would rather stay at the street until it is too late. It is designed for no other purposes but sleep.

They do not accept credit card, unless you agree to pay for additional 4% cost. They do not accept traveler's cheques either. This is inconvenient for traveler. They also ask the tenants to pay 10 euro deposit for the room key, which sometimes hurt their feeling.

Very difficult to find any positives. Even it is in the very centre, it is located next ti the tram stop and church which is ringing its bells virtually all day.

Many negatives. Its noisy. Website states breakfast is included in price, but it is not. The shop below hotel is under reconstruction and workers start in early morning. We booked twin rooms but the receptionist tried to give us rooms with double deck beds and said "we call this twin rooms also".

Good location in the centre, double room ok

Mess up with rooms and stuck in a single room for the first night- unclean and tiny no room for anything, probably not even big enough if just 1 person staying there. The sheets were dirty so we asked 4 clean 1s and the man couldnt speak english so we had to sleep without a cover. Next day went in our double room was ok clean but the wardbrobe was broke and there wasnt much room.

I think the most important value of this particular hotel is its magnificient location - just in the centre of everything. Otherwise the hotel is miserable.

Well there are various things that I didn't like. First, the check-in time on the confirmation letter was earlier than the time they said me on the spot. So I had to wait for 2 h. Then there was a misunderstanding about the breakfast - first info was that the price incl. brealkfast but later it changed. Then there was a total mess concerning the facilities ...
