Perfect transit hotel
Very efficient, meal times had early and late hours to accommodate traveller flights
very comfortable overnight at airport
Concierge was clueless
Proximity to the Bangkok airport (on site); luxurious accommodations. Policy of a 24 hour stay from check in was great. The buffet breakfast was very extensive and the hours of service 3:00 am to 10:30 am made it easy to catch a meal even if you have a very early flight. The airport shuttle service is very good with the vans going and coming from the airport every few minutes.
My wife and adult son were with me and they would not let us stay three to a room. This made the stay quite expensive, two rooms for $350. Based on this, I would probably not stay again if traveling with a party of three.
Closeness to airport.
There's supposed to be an underground walkway connecting to hotel from the airport. Never found it. What I did find was a little table by accident with name of hotel offering shuttle ride. TG. Desconcertin lobby space. Room was spacious but there was a leaky ceiling above bathroom door which caused me to slip when I had to get up in the middle of the night tonuse bath room. By morning there was a sizable puddle and had to put towels. Called and had it repaired within 20'. I have found over the years that new and shiny construction in Bangkok is shoddy. And this overnight experience confirmed it.
It is worth the money
We stayed at several different hotels during our month-long stay in Thailand; most for under $20 per night and many for under $10. At an online price of $220 (we only stayed the one night), but being able to simply walk from your hotel and avoid the 24hr Bangkok traffic to catch your return flight is worth almost any price.
Every place we stayed, the showers drained poorly and flooded the bathroom. This place was no exception. At least they provided lots of extra towels.
