Summary of reviews
Guests say
Overall, guests found the hotel to be conveniently located, with many highlighting its proximity to the river, downtown Boise, and the Greenbelt. The staff received frequent praise for being friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Cleanliness was noted positively in several reviews, with guests mentioning clean rooms and linens. The pool and amenities like the sauna and patio were also appreciated by families and leisure travelers. However, there were recurring concerns about the dated condition of the property, maintenance issues, and value for price, with some guests feeling the hotel was overpriced for what was offered. Despite these drawbacks, the positive aspects of location, service, and cleanliness stood out.AI-Generated from customer reviews

Pros (+) The staff was friendly and tried to come up with solutions. Hot continental breakfast options.
Cons (-) Advertised as having a fold out couch when the couches were all tied down because they were broken. Mattress in couch only sleeps one. Lamps and other electrical compromised because couch was bending chained power strips against outlet. I pulled the couch off teh outlet to keep the lamps from shorting.
Pros (+) Room with balcony overlooking river, very spacious, clean, comfortable bed, powerful hot shower,
Cons (-) check in counter is beside entrance, people checking in have to stop immediately after stepping foot inside creating a constant jam because even during non check times people have questions are checking out etc
Pros (+) Breakfast staff was on top of everything during breakfast hours.
Cons (-) Toilet. Tub and sink needs to be replaced as they were permanently dirty. Holes in wall. Screen door broken and hard to open. Hotel needs lots of updating.
Pros (+) I mean, it's a $65/night hotel - what do you want? It was clean and comfy and the staff was really nice and helpful.
Pros (+) This place has improved over the old Shilo Inn but still needs a lot more updating to be truly nice. New furniture, bedding, floor coverings, some lighting, TVs and appliances.
Cons (-) Single pane windows, old drapes, wallpaper, bathroom fixtures and tile. Crumbling lampshades, tile around tub not clean.
Pros (+) Loved the pool and sauna, breakfast was nice
Cons (-) Neighborhood felt sketchy
