We were forced to cancel the trip due to Italy quarantine, covid lockdown and all flight to and from Italy being canceled for the period we had the trip. I anticipated this and contacted the property 6 weeks in advance to ask for cancellation (although my booking was not cancellable). The hotel refused to cancel and refund and charged us. Shame they took advantage of this situation in such pitiful way.
Our trip included multiple bookings, with other chains as well, like Accor, Best Western (this hotel). Accor was kind and updated their policy, canceling the booking. But Best Western refused. They offered us instead 20% discount on a further booking. Very generous!
