Fantastic location behind the famous cathedral, Kolner Dom, and located adjacent to restaurants and great shopping. We were lucky enough to be there on All Saints Day and hear church bells ringing frequently. Completely lovely guestroom in a beautiful and friendly city.

The location in the old market and the proximity to the Dom, Hauptbahnhof, Heu Markt and the Rhine river.
There was a theater company, or some group, on the ground floor that would take smoking breaks under our window every night. They were very loud and it would go on till very early in the morning.

Clean rooms and bathrroms and a good location when it comes to transport.
The reception desk is working only 8 hours during the day. There is no possibility to contact receptionist in the evening. There was no internet (wireless or wired), we were asked to buy the cable ourselves because all were in use at the moment. Location is pretty loud (many restaurants working till late night) and dangerous (it's a back alley and many weird people gather there).

Big, light, clean rooms right in the Altstadt
It should be more clear on Booking.com that you have to call the Gästehaus before you go in order to make an appointment about the keys because it is not a traditional hotel with a reception.
