Was an amazing weekend in Dublin the staff were friendly and accommodating.
The trip was marred by the loss of my wife's mobile phone outside the dining area. Some dishonest person picked it up, switched it off and walked out with it. The staff promised to review the security camera tapes and see if anything can be done about the lack of property safety. Although it was my wife's fault for dropping her phone while carrying out baby it would have been great if everyone on the property was honest and respectful.
Nice hotel, good value, away from city center
Quiet and clean. Staff was excellent across the board. Ashley at the counter and Mario in the restaurant were standouts amoung a team that is clearly well trained on service.
Though the value for the money was great, the hotel is just a bit overhyped as an old estate. It felt more like a themed Radisson hotel tucked in a neighborhood in the Dublin surburbs.
Very disappointed overall
Evening meal was inedible, room was run down, staff were rude
It is a Wedding Reception weekend please
Shower door in 302 had mold but less than the door frame. The furnishings and furniture may be better Scandinavian (cleaner) than Old English - hiding the dirt and dust.
From room service to front desk staff, all were very welcoming and helpful.
The hotel needs a bit of updating (carpets, draperies, furniture but other than that, it was a good stay.
Had lovely food and wine in bar! Staff very friendly!
We asked for 3 separate beds but I had to sleep on a roll in which would fit. Child and the mattress was poor quality!
Able to accommodate early check in request, friendly staff
Tv didn't work, took 3 attempts to resolve lounge facilities were able to be booked by non-residents meaning it was very difficult to find a suitable table or seat. I was informed by the hotel that they never booked more than 50% of the sofas, this was not the case as one stage all had reserved signs on them
The welcome and the comfortable surroundings, the nice breakfast and the helpful staff.
I noticed that the window in my room was very draughty - it was a windy night and there was a definite breeze blowing in. I imagine you would save money on your heating costs if you addressed it - room 207.
Grand setting with fantastic gardens.
The rooms smelt of smoke, even though I had a no smoking room. Which had recent cigarette burns to the curtains. Bathroom not quite up to standard (the shower was designed for short people, not even shorter!)
I liked the actual building and relaxing bar areas
I didn't think it was five star standard
The room was by most standards extremely quiet, and the gardens provide a splendid setting.
The hotel was beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only problem was that the room was a bit dusty and for it to sleep 3 people the needs to be more towels and tea items to facilitate as we had to contact reception.
Very comfortable beds, and climate control. Warm, obliging staff who responded quickly to all requests. Good parking, free internet access, very good breakfast and easy access to public transport with quite a few bus routes. Room service was prompt and very good.
Could not find a bad point to say about this hotel
The hotel was lovely and the staff were really friendly. Would love to stay again.
We arrived late around 9 so the restaurant was fully book which was fine as the girl at receiption told us that the bar were serving a substancial menu, we were delight as we were straving but when we went to the bar all they were serving soup and salads had we know this we would have got room service as it had such a variety.
Convenient to Dublin and the accomodations were very nice for the money.
