Bed was ok and the bathroom was nice
Everything. The carpet and curtains were filthy. I booked a room with a balcony but got a starred king Which as I mentioned was pretty filthy
Breakfast, and Front Desk staff were great!
I will not be staying at this hotel again, and will caution others from doing so as well! —After my initial check-in on a Wednesday, I LITERALLY had to beg and plaid for maid service. Was not able to get any until Saturday early evening when I had spoken to the Front Desk twice, the head of housekeeping twice, and one of the maid staff I found on my floor. For some reason they didn’t want to clean my room (nothing out of the ordinary that should have led to that on my end!) Finally early Saturday evening I got a maid to simply empty my trash cans and give my fresh towels!! —Shouldn’t have had to have been SUCH an ordeal! Last time I stay there‼️
Bed was comfortable, sheets and blankets were soft and cozy. The room service was pretty good and the food was not too bad.
Not a vey good view due to the way the hotel was built. Looked at homeless people for three days sleeping on the other side. Very few rooms with an ocean view were expensive.
The bed was one of the best we have slept in and the pillows were great.
The view of a red wall 2 feet away from the only window in the room.
Location was great, staff was friendly.
the a/c in the hallways was not working, the small pool was overcrowded, hot and dirty. There were only 2 towels and NO toilet paper left available for us. The A/C unit in the room had food stuffed in the vent.
It was all good.
Clean hotel, good location and friendly staff
Only two junior suits with ocean view and terrace. Reservations were not honored the first night stay but were transferred to the junior suit with ocean view and terrace next day
Good points/bad points
We liked that the hotel was within walking distance of the pier, the beach and a few restaurants. The staff was mostly friendly and helpful.
We had an incident in the middle of the night where someone tried to use a key to get in our room (by mistake) the deadbolt did not work and they got the door open as far as the safety latch. Then, we get a call from the lobby where the woman preceded to tell is that WE were in the wrong room even though we had been there all night. I usually don't complain but having someone come in your room in the middle of the night is unnerving and then on top of that being blamed for said incident is really too much.
I stayed in I guess it was a bachelor's suite, king bed with the side side view.... It was simply relaxing..
Close proximity to beach, right on Galveston seawall big rooms
Lots of noise at front desk spilling over from open bar
Annex facility in much better upkeep. Enjoyed the use of the Exercise Facility. We were generally pleased with the room comfort and cleaner than the remainder of the facility.
The overall facility was unimpressive at first impression. Aesthetics were poor. The hallway carpet, at best, can be described as deplorable. Numerous stains resulted in questions of cleanliness and sanity. In addition, the hallway temperature was constantly hot. Suspect this was a requirement to save on utility bills. Won't be visiting again.
