Everything was great except a very small toilet.
Right on the water
Going up to gatlinburg for a girls weekend in October was a bit crazy as the whole place was packed. But this hotel more than made up for the craziness. When you first hear motor lodge inn you think "um can this be any more dated?" But the rooms were thoughtfully updated and the rooms balcony hangs over the river so you get into how nice the place is really quickly.
The toilet was really low and we made the trip way too short
Rocky Waters
Not one of the newest but it was definitely clean and the staff was very friendly. I would stay again. Great location over the river.
Balconies overlooking stream
Parking
Location on river. Private balcony
Pool falling apart. closed hot tub. Place needs a makeover
Clean but wont stay again
The view is great and its in good walking distances for down town Gatlinburg.
The place wasn't like its pictures, Room was really outdated, No privacy on the patio. Bathtub seemed to need replaced. I called like 3 months ahead of time to make sure I got a room and I ask for two beds and they gave me a room with one bed. I won't stay there again.
Take it for what it is
price
pictures are misleading , slump in bed, tube tv, dated rooms
DON'T STAY HERE
Seeing the river from the balcony
Ajoining rooms and no privacy on balcony because the people on the other side could open the door and see what was going on. I felt unsafe cause there was 3 access doors where someone could break into the room. Pictures on the Internet are nothing like it in person. Needs serious updating, besides the sink area. I felt nasty the whole 8 hours I was there. Parking area is horrible for big size cars. I wasnt able to open the car door all the way to get my things because of another car inches away. It was not worth the 58$ I paid. Don't book over the Internet cause they have the say so if you can check out or not!! It was my husband's first time in Gatlinburg and the hotel was a disgrace. I felt ashamed for booking this hotel once I saw it for myself.
Excellent stay
The room was extremely clean and well maintained. The views were gorgeous.
We enjoyed our stay
The hotel was good and the rooms were very inexpensive. The staff was nice. We requested adjoining rooms for our kids and had no problem getting our request accommodated. Our room was large and both rooms were clean. We were not expecting a luxury hotel and for the price we were very happy with our rooms. The hotel is farther down the main road but their is a trolley right outside that took us up for 50 cents per person. Definitely an economical and pleasant experience, which left us with more money to do fun things with our kids.
Near town
Not impressed
The only honest thing about this "inn" (please read as motel), was that it overlooked the water. It actually looks out over the water.
The small picture I see of a large place overlooking the water with trees between it and the water is inaccurate. It is the smaller, more run-down building further down on the left of the river. It is not the larger, nicer-looking building on the right. Do not be deceived. When I arrived, the door between my room and the adjoining room was unlocked (one of two such doors), the shower curtain was missing, the back sliding door was unlocked, and one of the doors on the balcony (between adjoining balconies) didn't even latch properly. The bathroom smelled of recent use and the fan/light were running. I was able to remedy the shower curtain issue. The rest of my issues were compounded when I saw strong winds rip a door off one of the balcony dividers the next day. The place overhangs the water and has stress fractures in the ceilings of all rooms (possibly as a result). It is run down, in poor repair, and the styling and layout (not to mention the furniture and appliances, are all at least 20 years old as far as I can tell. One of the dressers no longer properly lined up when all drawers were slid in. Finally, the parking was atrocious, with thick bricked columns framing the excessively tight parking spaces in the too-narrow parking lot the building had. All in all, a poor value for the type of stay you're given and too far from the attractions to be worth staying there unless you wish to pay from $2.00 per hour to $10.00 per instance for parking. I am exceedingly unimpressed with this location.
