Musty/mildew rooms Clarion Maingate!

Location to Disney parks about 5 to 10 minutes depending on park. Restaurants are close by.

Most rooms have musty, mildew/moldy smell due to carpets that have been wet! You can see water stains on carpets! My first room 247 smelled like mildew/musty, I thought it would go away but never did also the safe was not working which they came in while we went to eat dinner; we changed rooms the next day because we came back very late and was just too tired! I went to the front desk explaining the problem he didn’t seem concerned but changed my room to 339 when I opened the door there was a yellow fan drying the carpet from a big water leak in the same place as my other room around the A/C all the way to the couch! Went back to front desk again explaining what I saw he changed my room again to room 215 which also has a big water stain on carpet that had been dried; smell wasn’t so bad and decided that I only have 1 night left and would be at the park all day and probably all the rooms had the same problem so we stayed. My son and his small kids was in room 249 he also had a big dried water stain going from the A/C to the couch which they covered up the smell with cleaning supplies but the stain is still there. (I really don’t think this is very healthy for kids to be playing on or breathing! Kids will be kids and shoes go off! ) I was never given a reason as to why all the rooms had the same huge water stain that they apparently tried drying with fans. I use Clairon Maingate all the time as we have season passes to Disney but I think this could be the last time my family stays here. They really need to change out all the carpets instead of trying to dry them out the musty/mildew smell will never go away and mold will grow under the carpet! Don’t say I didn’t warn you if you get a room there just take a look down at the carpet when you walk in and see the dried water stain its there! I have pictures!

They were in no way prepared. For the people. For breakfast. We could not even get in to eat after 30 min in line that did not move we left it was that way every day I would think they should by now be prepared. For a full hotel@

great location, close to theme parks and a great deal

breakfast was included but was very busy and they are not prepared for everyone arriving all at once to have breakfast. They need a bigger breakfast room and more space to cook, serve, etc.

for people who go to only Disney world

Shuttle bus is only one on the day.
