this hotel is fine
This hotel is totally fine if you just need a good, clean and reliable place to stay. Nothing's about it is amazing or special but nothing is bad (except that the elevators weren't working which meant a 8 story climb up the stairs).
Very convenient location. Excellent service. Clean and cozy room.
ok, but nothing more
The location is great. The bathrooms are nice. Internet worked well.
However it lacks the charm I was expecting from a boutique hotel in New York. The rooms have an old feeling. The decoration in general is fairly old style. And when we tried to get room service for breakfast nobody picked up, we were told we will be called back and after 30 min we just gave up. Not worth the price, I would rather do a Hilton or Hyatt for same price with much better bed, service and vibe.
not worth it
minibar was loaded with choices
deceptive staff. gave me a different room with a smaller bed than the one I paid for. but after waiting on lobby for an hour after my check in time because the manager hadn't inspected the room, I was too tired and Aggravated to argue!
classic NYC hotel - clean, crisp and great value
friendly staff simple old NYC charm, architecture large, well appointed rooms for an older hotel easy access to meetings
Best hotel in NYC
I love this hotel. I love the staff and I love the rooms. This feels like a hotel in a small town. I always reserve here even if the price is more expensive. Keep up the good work chandler.
Better gym room.
Friendly, helpful staff.
Bad view out of room 733.
Old shower and bathroom
The staff was amazing. Polite and personable, always willing to help and proactive in resolving any booking issues. Would definitely stay again. Also, there is an amazing shop right on the next corner that has an incredible selection of foods, from ice cream and pizza to a full salad bar, that stays open for your late night cravings. Conveniently close to the hotel.
If I must search for something negative to say..... Maybe the room seemed a little cramped? Didn't affect us because we were out and about but had we stayed in I suppose we'd have to use the descriptor "cozy."
Staff was amazingly attentive.
No ice on floor
Excellent facilities, clean rooms, great location, right in the heart of Manhattan.
The staff could not do enough for us - they were very helpful.
Tea & coffee facilities in the room would have been nice.
the location was fantastic
Close proximity to the heart of Manhattan
Even the deluxe queen bedroom was a little on the small side. I do not envy anyone having a standard room. A bit pricey but then NY is.
The facility, room amenities and courteousness of the staff is 5+ star.
pleasant and efficient staff
Location was good. Staff were friendly and helpful
Very tiny things - the touch senstive display of drinks for example. We all picked them up to look before we saw the leaflet!
Liked the ipod dock in the radio. Friendly staff.
Great Location, Friendly Staff, Personal Atmosphere, Cosy Well Appointed Rooms
That you are required to leave a deposit of $75 per day for "incidentals" in addition to paying the price of the room
AAA_5 Star Staff at the Hotel-!!!!!!!!! This Hotel is in a great location / easy walk to any needed transportation/ places to EAT/ Shopping/ or Entertainment. Small room but Elegant space. + a "Great Shower".
The size of the room and the cleanliness
The fact that I did not have any windows that I could see daylight out of and I would of liked a bath
