Cons: The pool area is in shade most of the day. However the water is slightly heated. We ate at Wee which was disappointing. The food and service were just OK. I ordered Pad Thai. Having just returned from Thailand - this was a poor substitute.

Pros: I felt that the price was very fair for being Rio. The room and everything was very well kept. The staff was friendly, and the hotel is in a good location/proximity to many of the sites in Rio.

Pros: The hotel is modern, clean, comfortable and right located just in front the airport . the breakfast (included) is very good . Also there are free transportation from and to the airport from 5 AM to 12 PM . The pick up location is Terminal 2 just in front of boarding door D (There is sign at the side walk with the hotel name) . Please , pay attention for this detail ... the pick up in at boarding location, not arrival location .
Cons: At the hotel web site the transportation from and to the airport details are not available . The web site does not supply the pick up location (had to call the hotel to get those details) . Also , the web site and the display at the airport says the service is available 24 hours BUT the van driver said the service is available for 5 AM to 12 PM ..

Pros: For the value of my money, this was perfect hotel. It was clean, great location ( Copacabana, Metro and restaurants). The staff was polite (Vinnie, Amanda and Rene were remarkable).

Cons: Doesn't qualify as a 4 star hotel. I booked two luxury rooms and recieved 1 basic room and another room which was low level. The facilities are old and the room was not 100% clean. Before charging more than 100 dollars per night, they should take a close look at how a real luxury hotel looks like..

Pros: Wifi was reliable and breakfast/location were OK - about a 5 minute walk to the beach in a pretty decent and well lit neighborhood.
Cons: For US travelers, this is very reminiscent of the highway motels you may have been to in the early 90s - cable TV on a faded CRT tube TV, weird controls for the lights, noisy wall air conditioning unit that sort-of worked and bathroom that's sketchy in every way possible - with a dripping shower to boot. Staff at checkin wasn't too interested in offering maps, directions, suggestions - felt very awkward having to pry some details out of them and all answers were one or two words. They were quite chatty about offering tours and doing currency exchange. At $250/night this is borderline criminal of an accommodation but they are cashing in on the Olympics.

Cons: The hotel is really old. There was only a few staff working on each shift so things were really slow when you needed. The house keeper never changed my bedding or the towels... there was no restaurant in the hotel and not sure about dine in room service but I don’t think... the area is also not that nice! Oh and WiFi is bad
