Excellent housekeeping. Friendly, efficient staff. Great location (ten minutes walk from Old Town Transit Center, close to Sea World and Mission Bay). Plenty of good choices for food in the area. Excellent value for San Diego.
The area between the hotel and Old Town Transit Center is a bit gritty, but nothing that made me feel unsafe.
The services were extremely friendly. When entering the room the beds and room was clean. Little spots of stain on the bed sheet but there was a cover that covered it. High dryer is updated and not the heap hotel wall dryers. Room was renovated and was extremely homey.
Wish there was a towel pole in the restroom so there’s a place to place the towels rather than on top of the toilet.
Close to shopping, restaurants and local attractions. The hotel is located between Seaworld, Old Town & down town.
Located across the street from 2 strip clubs in a questionable part of town with questionable people roaming the streets is not my idea of an advertisement of being located close to a family establishment such as seaworld.
Better than motel 6
Comfortable remodeled clean room on 3rd floor. Nice staff! Coffee in lobby. Toiletries and nice towels. Flat screen tv. A lot of comfy pillows. Free parking. Good value for location and comfort. Close to sports arena and beaches. Hair dryer worked well. Air conditioner worked. Front desk called and asked if we needed anything and hoped we enjoy our stay.
NOISE and area. Strip clubs right around the corner. Highway noise is loud. No coffee maker or microwave in room. No breakfast was available.
Good for overnighters
Jamal, the evening desk clerk was very helpful and kind.
Creepy area with strip clubs on the corner.
The room looked updated and clean. No issues with cleanliness whatsoever. The room had everything we needed. Parking is free!! Even though it gets packed with cars every night, I was still always able to find a couple available spots. They also have an underground parking section with plenty of spaces I case the lot above is full.
The house keeper forgot to restock our toilet paper one day.
Nicely located, value for money.
Seaworld, zoo, safari park, downtown are 10-25 mins drive. If you are looking for visiting places, and do not care much about luxurious stay, want to save some money, this is the right hotel.
Overall stay was fine, only problem was the washbasin would not drain water. We had complained about it to staff, but it was not repaired.
Everything was clean nice Friendly
Well located for San Diego Marathon
Distinct smell of cigarette smoke in our "non-smoking" room
OKAY UNTIL AN ISSUE COMES UP
Location was ok, you can have a smoke really easy just by going out, but thats it.
We found a roach walking around the handwasher, where our toothbrushes were, so I had to go to a close by store and purchase new toothbrushes, the front desk lady wouldnt help us with that, only gave me the phone number for the manager whom "was never available to take the phone call"(cause I tried for a week after our visit), and with all that trouble, the hotel still charged the deposit for leaving later than anticipated due to this incident of having to go outside before leaving. We had the king size bed which could've been comfortable but it had some kind of plastic beneath the sheets and it was really hard to take off so it was noisy and really sweaty in the night even when the weather was great. Carpet was really stained This was the second time I stayed at this hotel, our first visit was good but never again, it seems they just stopped trying.
