Friendly staff, beds were comfortable, nice bathroom
Hotel is rundown & noisy
The staff was very nice and helpful. They offer a free “breakfast” which is just like pastries- I loved the croissants. I liked how local it was to everything around like bars and food places.
First, the hotel did not look like the photos. When I first got there the pillows were dirty, not like not clean but it appeared as though they had stains in them. The second day sleeping there when I was about to shower there was also stains in the towels. I thought I was saving money here but there is not parking lot so I parked it on the streets and they shattered my glass the first night I stayed. After fixing it up and trying to tape (A LOT of tape) it up the night night someone had ripped it up AGAIN. In the end, the money I thought I saved by staying at this hotel was nothing considering I have to pay for the damages done to my property.
The bed was a bit sunken in
Proper value and location
Friendly staff, great location.
Could stand updating and increased cleanliness
Nothing special, but serviceable and cheap
- Staff, basically the one guy who ran the front desk the entire time I was there, very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. - Very close to downtown area and convention center - Takeout food and laundromat nearby, fairly large mini-fridge located in the room - Comfortable beds, two people could easily sleep on one - Decent Wi-Fi (though unsecured) - A pretty good shower relative to other hotels I've stayed at in the region
- Bring earplugs if you have trouble sleeping, fair amount of outdoor noise - Furniture was pretty worn and a little dirty - Area can feel a little sketchy late at night - No A/C, might want to keep that in mind if you're staying during a warmer month - Smallish rooms
just a room to stay in not the cleanest
Down town close
Things broken not working
Tha staff of the hotel were very nice, the rooms were clean, great value for money.
Good value for money and great staff.
When I checked in I asked the desk Clerk if there were any ice machines on he different floors and he said there was only one on th first floor. When I went to my room I got the ice bucket and went down to get ice. The machine was out of order. I feel that he could of informed me of this before I went up to my room.
Good price for SF. Could walk to the convention center <1mile.
A clean, comfortable room for a decent price. Free wifi (but which hotel/motel doesn't have that in the US nowadays?)
The description "... you feel like you are in a charming small European town (...) Most rooms have city skyline views" seems a bit far reached. Folsom Street - especially at night - by far isn't the most friendly street in SF. Besides: the hotel is situated above an Irish pub which can be quite noisy.
Room well appointed considering cost and hotel well decorated
Position in the "South of Market" area meant that walking back to the Hotel in the evening felt risky - this was probably more perception than reality.
great location in a nice quiet street comfortable room friendly staff
The area, the room that smell bad, Continental breakfast. There was no Continental breakfast, just a piece of cake in a bag and a coffee !!.
The staff (very helpful and friendly), the room (tastefully decorated), the simple (non-password) wireless internet access from my room. The fact that the hotel is in a quiet cul-de-sac.
Just that the phone didn't work in my first room. But the staff dealt with it very well. A bit of noise at night over the weekends (nightclubbers staying in the hotel and/or nearby), but it wouldn't put me off staying again.
