Quite good hotel for reasonable...

Location was great. Right there on the Nanjing Pedestrian Road. Very close to the Metro. Room was sizeable. Good value. Bed and pillows very comfortable.

Toilet smell musty. TV sound fuzzy on the the only two english channels. The safe is light and easily movable - not too much safety feature.

Air conditioning was broken and didn’t explain whats the problem but lucky they fix it the next day. And the bathroom smells like cigarette i don’t know why

Far away from Down town of Tianjin

Location is the most interesting of this hotel. We can travel from Airport by take Metro and exit at people square station and then walk shortly to hotel. Moreover, hotel also has connection to Nanjing road which is the best convenience for traveler.

We have to accept that facilities, touch and feel of this hotel is too old. However, this is not meaning in to much negative but if any traveler would like to have fresh, modern, and feel like new then you may have to accept in lacked of these requirement.

Manager only allowed a late check out to 2 pm whereas asked till 3 ... have stayed there for so many years and 1 hour not given !!!! Unfortunately the lady manager not at all flexible .

Location was good. Hotel rooms were reasonably well maintained.

The staff especially were not friendly at all. We would feel scared to approach them and at the reception counters, the looks one gets would make you feel like running away. Generally Hotel staff should at least pretend to be friendly.

Breakfast good selection but a high price US$20 on top of the room cost. Room comfortable but pillows hard.

The hotel may have been 5 star but it felt like a big empty building … no soul. Staff did not smile at me once in the 5 days … One China Daily newspaper for the whole hotel which had to be read at reception … Whoever has made the decision in China to ban all smoking in Hotels in Beijing / Shanghai and other places like Beijing / Guangzhou International airport needs a good look at reality. What, smoking floors not an option to stop us nasty smokers infecting the rest of the pure population.

Location is amazing

They switched off Air Condition because it was too cold for them. Well it was too hot for us!!! We were not able to sleep well because they switched off the cooling and told us to open the windows!!!

The bed was soft (for China standards), linens were clean, towels were changed every day and the room was made up every morning. Lighting was a bit funky but good and the air-con kept the room at a nice temperature, cause it was colder outside.

BEDBUGS. I would not expect a five star hotel to have bedbugs. It was the biggest disappointment from a 5 star hotel. Also, breakfast was always the same, with plates being empty at 9am already, although breakfast was supposed to last longer than that.

The staff were accommodating enough to allow us to have the rooms earlier.

The Lobby was undergoing renovation and was dusty.

Location was ideal for subway and shopping / sightseeing, room was well equipped and comfortable

Hotel lobby was dark and uninviting, I had an ironing board in my room but no iron. Light switch locations not central, Limited English speaking TV Channels, Limited English speaking reception staff, Renovations annoying after 6am.

Great location and great breakfast although the breakfast was very expensive the equivalent of around €16

All the staff were lovely except one rude doorman who wouldn't help us get a taxi

Swimming pool is good

The servant at the desk was joking badly at me. And told he knows how to take my money
