I stayed at this property four different times from august 2019- March 2020. My third visit in December was for eye surgery. There was an event going on in the area and the hotel and surrounding were booked. It has rained that weekend and when I arrived to my room it was flooded severely with water in both rooms against the window/outside walls. The smell of musty mold was very strong. I suffer from asthma and asked I be moved to a higher room to avoid water and they informed me they were booked. I called other surrounding hotels that were booked as well. I then had to purchase damp rids, nose drops and my asthma inhaler from a local pharmacy to be able to stay again after having eye surgery. When I checked out two days later the front desk assured me they would make it up to me and that my next stay I would receive a discount compensation for my issues this visit. When I was having my next surgery March 9th I called and explained the situation. the gentleman I spoke said he saw a note in the account and would make sure I get a discount when the manager, Sheila, showed the next day. I told him the rates on Expedia who I always use were $161 for members and $169 for non members. He assured me he put a note in the account (I took screen shots) and would have the manager change my rates. When I checked in a few days later I saw a charge for $254 and thought that was very reasonable for my issues on my previous visit. I checked in went to my room and unpacked (purchased a few days worth of food and drinks etc as we were staying a few days for my second eye surgery) then we noticed our ac was not working. They sent someone to check it and he said the condenser was broke and we needed to change rooms... it was already late we had completely unpacked and I had surgery in a few hours in the am. We packed everything and moved. Then I noticed a second charge for $154 on my account. I went to the front desk to ask and he said that was the additional fee for the two night stay. So I would have saved money going through Expedia like I always do. I showed him all the pics and screenshots I had from Expedia even logged in at the desk and showed him the current rate was still at $161 and $169 as I stood there!! He said there was nothing he could do. I explained that was disappointing and I would have stayed somewhere else or used my Expedia account.... I will never stay at this hotel again. I do have numerous pictures from my stats there of the water, the damp rids the mold and everything I had to move due to your properties neglect.
