Fab location, watch the description when booking
Great location right by Tokyo station Nihonbashi exit. Right next to convenience store and the neighborhood is full restaurants and bars even excluding the train station. The fabulous staff went above and beyond. They were very helpful when there were issues with our baggage forwarding to a later hotel because Orbitz had yet to give our name to our reservation 2 days before our arrival.
While the hotel itself very clearly describes its smallest room (at ~17.5 m^2 ~190 sqft) as being a single where they allow two guests, most third party sites just list it as a"small" double. It is small for two by Tokyo standards. If you are two and have more than just carry ons, you will want a larger room. Note they have somewhat larger (~10% larger but still listed as "small" double) rooms that will work with medium checked bags. It is well worth the extra USD $20 for the upgrade. Look for a note talking about the room upgrades or just book directly because it is difficult to differentiate.
The room was very nice inside, a little small , but newly furnished and very comfortable. Easy to find from Tokyo rail station. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Hotel Ryumeikan Tokyo is located in the corporate center of Tokyo and is surrounded by office buildings, bars, and delicious restaurants. This close proximity to so many office buildings and attractive spots makes the hotel a very good destination for business travelers. They will be able to meet their clients at the nearby offices and conveniently take them to one of the nearby restaurants and bars to talk business over a nice meal and drink.
Each of the relaxed rooms in the hotel offers guests a variety of modern, comfortable accommodations with a blend of authentic Japanese furnishings. For example, the rooms offer guests free wireless Internet access and flat-screen TVs, but the rooms also feature traditional tatami mats and futons to inspire authentic Japanese décor. Upgraded rooms allow guests to enjoy beautiful views of Japan's capital city. Meanwhile, suites add a balcony and a separate living room for guests to appreciate better space and comfort. The hotel is also kid-friendly for any travelers bringing their kids and family along for the ride. Laundry services are also provided for any guests who happen to spill a bit of miso soup on their suit while entertaining a client.
The hotel features a restaurant of its own, with beautiful views of the city and delicious bites to eat. Also, an English style pub is featured in the hotel as well. Guests are also sure to enjoy the hotel's traditional tearoom that offers an authentic Japanese tea experience. Off-street parking is available for a small fee.
