Not what was expected..... poorly run and cared for, not for families
Style and location was good, great rooftop pool
Overall the property was run down and not the best condition. Pool was great view but no space. Love Thompson overall in Cabo and Chicago, but not comparable here - needs to step it up

Location
Was not able to use the pool (the only reason we booked this hotel) without warning due to "events". The bar at night consitiantly closed hours before the time shown and told to us by many staff. We only got to use the room. Would never go back. He balcony next to ours also had old broken furniture and cigarettes everywhere

Thompson Toronto
First and foremost the staff were incredible. From Jennifer at the front desk to Mandy & Chris serving up cocktails in the lobby bar. Rooms were appointed nicely and everything was incredibly clean. Location was perfect as it was only a short walk to great restaurants and popular attractions.
This is no slight on the employees but more on Thompson's policy to rent out it's pool area for private events. Everyday we experienced some sort of early closing of the pool area for a private event. Closing the pool at 3pm in the middle of summer is not acceptable.

Didn't have a room when I arrived
I showed up after a long day of work only to find out they didn't have a room for me. Instead they transferred me to a lower quality hotel that was across town and inconvenient to the next days activity. The front desk was also understaffed at this time and was trying to juggle other complaints, issues with the sound system and sorting out a room for me.
