“I love the food and drink.”

“This place is set in a beautiful setting next to the rice paddies. But it tries to do two things. It is an active cultural center with a museum, traditional orchestra, small art gallery, and groups come to visit. At the same time, it is a small resort with charming old teak cottages. But because of the cultural center, there are frequent disturbances and it is not a peaceful place to stay. As an example, we couldn't get a nap in the afternoon because of a chattery group of ladies taking pictures just outside our room.”

“It was a little oasis of calm close to Yogya. We asked them to help us get a taxi into the centre when we left, we were offered a lift instead.”
