Silvia was very helpful! Great location right in the old quarter.
The space was pretty tight and small with very steep stairs. I would recommend packing light but otherwise, great hotel.
Good location. The apartment is in Old Town.
1. They havn't POS-terminal, so I was able to look for atm. 2. There is no reception, so I was able to call on indicated phone number and wait for girl with keys. 3. They do not provide a breakfast. Actually, the girl offered just one muffin, very very old bread, the same flakes, some water, milk. That's it! 4. The room pretty small.
Excellent service from all concerned, beautiful room, first class location, hope to return next year.
toaster would have been helpful, and didn't like the plastic cutlery.
Central location in Alguer historical city. Very silent.
Narrow stairs connecting both floors. Roof very low, mind your head!
Very centrally located apartments in the historical center of the city, not actually a hotel or a B&B, but more like an apartment service. Staff only come over to let check you in and for the daily refreshments and cleaning in the morning. Works well if you want an independant place to stay in the city. Charming apartment, spaceous and nicely decorated. Kitchen in the room with large fridge and coffee maker. Visitor cars are not allowed in the historical centre, but free parking lots are a short walk away.
Yes, there are some strong smells from the restaurant nextdoor, but we did not mind much. Nice little bathroom, but shower cabin is extremely small and has to be entered through a narrow staircase. Don't count on the breakfast, you get a little basket with pre-packed cakes and toast that really are not worth unpacking, go to the bakery a short walk away and get your own. Staff was initially irritated when we did not arrive on the agreed time -our plane was delayed and we called when we had landed. They should have communicated better that they had to come over for the check-in, this is not what you expect at a B&B.
lovely location in the old town
We felt that a hair dryer and possibly an iron could be provided. Due to strict luggage restrictions we could not bring a travel hair dryer and we needed this in February !!
The position of the flat (because this is not a hotel!!) was very central, actually at the heart of the old town, couple of minutes from the marina, close to many bars and restaurants.
- The bulding where our flat was definitely needed renivation, the stairs already smelled rosty - The flat itself was dark and cold, the sun hardly got in - The manager of the flat told us that the blankets were below the bed, when time came up to go to bed, we discovered a small blanket (probably for a kid!!) for both of us. There were also couple of other blankets but they were ridiculously small and light (we presumed for pets!!) - For breakfast, there was no more tea. Worse: there were small bugs (insects!) in the tea box - The grill machine for bread was disgusting: it was not cleaned since it was bought supposedly - The boiler for hot water was heating just enough water to quickly soap the body and wash, not enough to wash hair for instance (otherwise it gets cold very quickly). Besides, there is only enough hot water for one person. The other one needs to wait for a couple of hours until the water is warm once more. - The heating system (we were there in December!) was not working properly. One could see a long pipe coming from the heating maching to an emply box where the water gathers and one needs to empty it progressively. I suppose the same would have happened in the summer, using ac. - The decoration was awful and depressing (2 huge pictures of a dog and a cat welcoming you in the living-room)
Central location, clean, fully functional, decent breakfast
Very thin walls, can hear other guests very easily. No staff present at premises, so on arrival needed to phone proprietor, and didn't have a phone.
The location was great, in the center of the old town. The room was made up of a downstairs area, where the refrigerator and table were and the bedroom and bathroom were upstairs in a sort of loft style. The place was renovated recently, so the fixtures and decor seemed modern and in very good condition. The staff was friendly.
The ceiling in the bedroom was slanted and so low that one had to bend over in order to get to the bed. There was a low beam that crossed the ceiling that you had to walk under in order to get to the narrow stair case. My husband and I both hit our heads on the beam several times. Stairs are also very narrow. Tall or large people should avoid this hotel.
Very nice hotel - old house totally refresh - ideally situated in Alghero.
