A calm oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of a capital city
The serenity of the hotel and its surroundings. The excellent food and wait staff. The helpful front desk.
No bell hops to help with luggage.
Had to switch rooms
The second room was larger and quieter
First room was noise. It sounded like a generator that ran all night. Did not sleep well!
New Years Eve Stay
The hotel was very clean, spacious and updated.
The Club Room/restaurant was very under-staffed the evening of 12/31. Food was good but the wait to get food after ordering was close to an hour.
Emory was great minus TV captioning
Comfortable room. Nice facilities. Friendly staff. Overall a great experience.
The closed captioning was not working on the tv
Breakfast was cold
The location is near Emory, CDC, Decatur, and Virginia Highlands. The public spaces are accommodating with comfortable lounge areas, pool, and lovely grounds.
We have stayed here many times over the past four years. There is large scale construction directly adjacent to the property which is noisy and dirty. The hotel check in staff were not friendly or helpful. The rooms are beginning to show their age including plumbing and bathroom fixtures that are broken and dirty grout in the shower. There is also now a charge for parking at $10/day (self park) which used to be included for all hotel guests. Our room keys did not work properly in the exterior doors or the parking garage which meant having to go around to the front entrance to gain access to our room. All-in-all I am sorry to report that things have gone downhill.
The staff was friendly
No option to include parking on ticket when pay online ($10 a night) Slight calcium buildup on shower head No independent room wifi Had to plug in the mini-fridge myself behind the stand for the tv instead of it just being on low
Very friendly staff
For the price, I would have expected internet access would be included. I was disappointed to learn that it cost extra.
Beautifully designed hotel and conference center - a peaceful place in the city. Very convenient to Emory University
Close proximity to Emory, ample parking, early check in accomodated
the location, it is across from Emory University, so I could just walk to see my daughter
Convenience of food and drinks without leaving hotel.
The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are large and comfortable.
The Club Room food was mediocre and the service was horrible. The Club Room itself is beautiful and relaxing. The shower did not get hot enough.
The Frank Lloyd-Wright inspired architecture and furnishings are beautiful and create a peaceful atmosphere for the lobby and meeting rooms. The bedrooms were nicely appointed, clean and comfortable.
The beautiful facility and easy access to my conference
