Well, it depends......
The hotel has three seperate towers and it really depends on which one you stay in on whether or not you’re going to give a good review or not. I’ve stayed one night in a studio in Tower 3 and it ( they?) were absolutely appalling. However, on most of my visits to this hotel I stay in the Junior Suite( if available) in Tower 1 and I find it reasonably good value for the size and other features you get. I’m a regular and while ever the price remains competitive, I’ll always come back here.
Breakfast in the restaurant near the Lobby can be a nightmare after 8.a.m so best to get there well beforehand. On this most recent visit there were no hordes of people pushing and hustling to get seats ( and sometimes helping themselves to your table whilst you’re away getting another coffee - yes, Indians, I’m talking about youuuu! ). However, 5e guy making omelet’s had a real attitude problem and needs a chat to about customer service. If he doesn’t like his job then he should quit. Oh, coming back at after midnight on two occasions I found the entrance to the hotel and the outside seating area had been inundated by seedy looking whores looking for customers. Security should shoo them the hell away from that area. I don’t like having my arm grabbed by a Ladyboy as I’m walking up the concrete ramp into the hotel entrance.
Stayed many times.
The location is always a plus, straight up the road to Nana sky train, etc. The breakfast buffet is also a plus however, I highly recommend that you get there early. When I was there early August, the restaurant was horrendously busy. When I stay there I always stay in the one bdrm apartment. It's my oasis away from the noise and chaos outside. The first one they gave me, I asked to move because the neighbors were leaving their door open with their screaming kid. I'm happy to say the manager completely understood my situation and moved me very quickly. Well done management.
The Grand President. It's touch and go, depending on which room you're going to stay in. The studios are in Tower 3 and are now old & tired looking. Affected by the heat and overuse they definitely need sprucing up and look nothing like in the official photos. At the end of Ramadan the hotel is very busy. I guess culturally, guests from the Middle East think it's ok to leave their doors open and yell out to their extended family in the next room. This really bothers me. Luckily the hotel management are completely understanding and will move you to another room - if rooms are available. I guess I don't have a problem per se with the hotel. I have more of a problem with inconsiderate guests who only think of themselves and don't consider other people. I'd like to see the hotel be a bit stricter with these "feral" guests. Maybe that though is why the front desk didn't seem as friendly this time as they usually are. They seemed a bit frazzled and snappy. Anyway, I'd stay there again because of the proximity to the expressway and the SkyTrain.
Much better available.
Pool is nice. Location is good
Tower 2 construction. Only 2 elevators and had to share with staff workers. Had to wait up to 10 minutes for elevator. 1980 decor.
not the best
The location, but there are plenty of other hotels for much cheaper.
The room. The sink clogged, and after calling reception, I waited for 5 hours. So, I had to call again, this time someone came out and explained that it was a push button valve. Basically you have to push the stopper for it to come back up. The hallway leading to my room was covered with some shaggy carpet and smelled like an after party.
Very outdated and run down
The room The noisy cleaning staff Being charged the 1070 baht for an extra bed Being across the street from the main hotel in an outdated one star hotel room The bathroom was terribly run down with poor water pressure
The staff were amazing. Facilities were amazing and was right in the middle of all the tourist spots
The location was excellent as I have to walk for a few minutes to reach the eating spots / night bazar/ Nana Sky train. Seven Eleven was also nearby.
The business centre was not free for the hotel guests which was strange. The breakfast need to be a bit better as far as taste and variety is concerned. We have the same menu in breakf ast for our entire stay of six days.
service. i have stayed many times and frequently. most staff recognise me.
housekeeping is lazy and doesnt want to change sheets unless you make them.
The hotel was quite close to the main markets and the Nana sky station.
The hotel rooms had an odour, and besides the hotel staff werent very helpful in providing us with smoking rooms even though we had requested for them in our booking.
Actually nothing nice to say about this hotel, needs to be closed for refurbishment
Reception staff are in their own world and can take ages to check you in, The rooms do not have a pleasant smell, Toilets and shower areas have seen the end of their periods, needs to be immediately renovated. After 3 days I had to pay extra and upgrade myself to a suite just to be a bit comfortable, however other than the lobby everything else is dated commencing from the time you get into the lift.
nice room, clean, enough space, comfy bed, good breakfast
very loud birds in the mornings (from 7am). night times quiet.
hotel staff was very friendly
the cleaning personel used some products that were really (really) strong. I couldn't stay in the room after it has been cleaned for a couple of hours.
size of Room, executive studio suite was just a very small room !!!!!
price and location
Logation was good near the BTS-station. Good svimming pool.
