Ac control. Need Better security. Room broken into. Vehicle broken into. Shady people in and around parking lot and hotel
The location to the downtown area was great.
The chef was late for breakfast two days out of three, so that delayed our group a bit.
They do not actually have ADA compliant rooms. There are no grab bars in the shower or bath, there is no roll in shower, and the bathroom is not wheelchair accessible. One of our party found a bandage on the sheets that was not theirs, yuck.
Comfortable and quirky
Location was great for us. Downtown Billings isn’t very big, so we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. Staff were friendly and efficient. The bathroom in our room looked pretty freshly updated.
The sheets on our bed were really old, making them look somewhat unwashed. The bathroom wasn’t as clean as I expected.
Mediocre
The only redeeming quality was that it was walking distance to some restaurants.
This place was basically a tourist trap. It looks quaint and Western online, but the rooms are filthy and dilapidated (the carpets look like thy have never been cleaned). The check in area smelled like cigarettes, and the fridge and microwave in the room were also dirty. The sheets were of bad quality and were pilling. Definitely wouldn't stay here again.
Great for price
Super affordable and actually clean. The bed was really comfy too.
Wish there were women at the front desk and breakfast served earlier
Bait and Switch
Room was fine for the short time we spent there and the adjoining café had decent food
When we arrived at 1am at the airport the four of us had to wait over 45 minutes for the 24hr free shuttle - which is not a shuttle, but a local taxi. When we arrived at the Lodge we were informed that the Lodge only covered $10 of the $18 cab fare. When we returned to the airport the next morning the free shuttle (taxi) told us we had to pay an $18 fare. Later that day we called the Lodge to inform them of the "fleecing" by the taxi and they told us they would refund our money - we have not heard anything back. Suggest staying somewhere else.
Location, parking, value
Quite a throwback to the 50's and 60's; décor, furnishings but they were adequate for our needs.
Not What I Expected
Nothing, this was the worst place I stayed and not worth the money!
The room was old, dirty, the carpet was obviously filthy and room was not worth sleeping in. My bathroom was atrocious and came from a nightmare 1970's B film. I was thinking it was going to be a rustic, unique experience, but what it turned out to be was just the opposite. The rooms said non-smoking, but the hall smelled of fresh cigarettes. I feel bad because this place could have potential, but is just not good, especially for the high price I paid. My bedding had stains on it and I slept with a bat in my room because I didn't feel safe.
Booked the room for a friend who was traveling through the area. She arrived at 10:00pm after a 10 hour drive. She stated the room was dirty and sheets were stained. She did not stay and kept driving on towards her destination.
Low price
Rooms were pretty small, if one person stood there was not enough room to walk around them. But by far the biggest issue was the AC... It was hot and uncomfortable,
Good value for your money
The beds were very comfortable and the hotel in itself had a cute theme. Didn't eat at their restaurant only because I didn't have time. Staff was polite and curtious. Smelled good
Could have been cleaner. The carpet had some stains, especially on the side next to the a/c unit, looks like there was water stains that they just covered up with carpet.
