Pros:The staff was very friendly, and housekeeping/guest services was responsive to our needs when we asked them directly, without going through the desk. The location was perfect for our needs; this is a beautiful area of Birmingham.
Cons:Definitely not for families. No dresser, no luggage rack, few hangers. Although we were told they had kept the luggage racks in storage after the room remodel, repeated requests for two to help reduce clutter went unheeded. The extra chairs we requested arrived a day or so later after repeated calls. The beautiful frosted bathroom door on a track was a nuisance throughout the week. A lot of noise to open and close, without actually offering any measure of privacy; design fail.
Pros:The place was gorgeous for the money I spent. Staff were helpful. There is a Starbucks in there!!
Cons:We reserved thru Kayak. The fine print states cannot guarantee 2 double beds. We were traveling with our older children and they had to sleep on sofa beds in each room after traveling for 12 hours via car.The Ice machine did not work on second floor. The housekeeping came and tossed sheets and blankets at us. I told her you come back and fix these sofa beds. We were tired I just wanted to jump in a bed and sleep but I was having to deal with the bed situation.
Pros:I liked how they worked with me to find my reservation since booking.com didn't give a hotel confirmation number. But the hotel overall was very nice. Quiet, helpful, and in a good location of the town.
