Cheap, Old, Great location
Location. Price. Breakfast. Staff friendly and tries to help.
Old stained carpet. Poor lighting. One working electric outlet. Almost changed after first night but stayed for price.
Staff were very helpful. They gave us plenty of assistance and local information. The location is quite spectacular.
At the time we stayed the gasline had been severed by work on shore. This meant that we had no hot water. As we were only staying one night we coped ok, and the staff were very accomodating.
Staff were very good, view from room superb, good breakfast menu. good sized rooms, very comfortable.
It looked a bit shabby from the outside, could do with smartening up. Poor access from street.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The situation on the Danube in the centre of Bratislava was excellent and provided easy access to the old town. The taxi ordered arrived on time.
Where to start. That this was a former communist and controlling society was evident from the first. Long booking in form containing much unecessary and unwarranted information. Incredibly expensive for what was on offer. Decor generally was from the sixties or earlier in appearance. Carpet was thin and rucked. One chair was deeply stained. As I have a bad back the hard bed was reasonably welcome.
Its location was very good the city center is a few minutes from the hotel. My room overlooked the Danube. The recepcionist spoke to me in Hungarian (when he found out my nationality). The restaurant overlooks the river. The staff were helpful and kind.
The room was a bit cold.
Good central location and helpful English speaking staff. The hotel was warm and clean (although a little shabby). I would probably stay there again but would hope to pay less for the room.
They did not know we were coming but still found a room for us. It was a bit expensive for what we got. If the price was lower, we might not have been the only people who seemed to be staying there on the first night!!
it was in the boat that's coool and near to down town
bad breakfast and not reallly nice rooom
location was very convenient
beds were uncomfortable
Noise during the night, bed...
near the old town
carpets poor (spilled paint), very noisy (3am party-boat across the river), windows (dirty so you couldn't see out). Food cold - but prepared a warm (not hot) fried egg when asked (in broken Slovak)
Breakfast was, while not fancy or high quality, adequate and plentiful. The cabin itself was large enough to be comfortable. The location of the boat/boatel was definately of great advantage, only a few minutes walk to the historic centre.
The cabins (or room) was in need of some work. The carpet, if you can call it that, was horrible, the matress depressingly thin and the bed, while a double (not two twins together) also short if you happen to above 6 foot tall, as are both myself and my girlfriend. Both the decor and the light fittings could definately use an overhaul. With some effort the rooms could be far more pleasant.
