Location in Cairns and the Price is about the only thing to like about the Bohemia "Resort." We didn't try the pool, but did see some kids enjoying themselves, so maybe that was a plus, too. It was cheap and we made the reservation very last minute, needing only one night in Cairns before moving on up to Port Douglas.
Meh. Spartan, to say the least. The beds were very uncomfortable and the A/C made a lot of noise, but barely cooled the room. The rooms were pretty worn and shabby. The breakfast lady was guarding the place like the queen's crown jewels were under the towel, but it was nothing more than 2 or 3 different kinds of packaged, sliced bread and a couple of jam packets. There was milk and juice and water, though, and a couple of different kinds of breakfast cereal. No fruit or biscuits or muffins or anything else that would normally be included with a continental breakfast. Very limited, cramped parking. However, we didn't pay that much for the room, so in all I think it served its purpose for the night. Probably wouldn't stay there again unless I was alone and just needed a cheap place to crash. Think of it as a Hostel and you won't be disappointed when you walk in. Be advised that a "Family Shared Room" doesn't mean just that the family all sleeps in one room (which was fine) but also means that you are sharing a bathroom with about 4 other rooms.
Night staff always ready and happy to help with any problem
Is not so close as they say, to reach the city by foot take a good 40 min.
We stay only for 1 night

The swimming pool, the spa was cold.
Televisions in the rooms require updating, to have better coffee available not instant, to offer a better range of higher quailty wines and a bus to pick up and drop off your guests into the city and back - (2 or 3 times a day)
A small but comfy room with ample facilirties for budget short stop over.
The staff were very helpful.
The distance from central Cairns made it pointless for us to stay again as we spent extra money on taxis, however it was a fantastic budget accommodation.
It was Empty so thus very personal with the staff and bartender. The staff were extremely friendly, good people. They made the stay worth it.
Its a 20 minute walk from anything.
