The staff was very good. Helpful, accommodating and the ones I spoke with had a good command of English.
The room was very tired. The couch had a large patch in the upholstery. The couch cushions did not match the couch and the whole thing was so uncomfortable that I piled pillows on it to even sit on it. Carpets are stained and the whole room was due for a serious make over.
Great location but really horrible
The location is the only thing going for it. Oh.... nice gym. Pool area was nice but it is winter!
1. Dirty. Housekeeping is substandard. 2. Food. Just plain blah. School cafeteria quality. 3. Cost. For what you get it’s not even close to being worth it. We checked out early and moved to an airport hotel. It was that bad!
the location, staff
Need to pay more attention to keep the place clean, staff need to spend more time cleaning the hotel and less time looking at their mobile phones
Good Hotel for its price
The hotel was a good place for its price. We enjoyed the amenities but there isn't much to do outside of the hotel. We enjoyed Zamalek area more and people should consider that area if traveling on vacation.
The rooms are a bit old and it's not really 5 stars. Overall, it wasn't bad.
Don't believe the pictures
There's a nice view of the pyramids by the pool. The rooms are nice and updated except for the carpet.
Eat outside of the hotel. The food is mediocre at best. The hotel is very disorganized. Lots of potential regarding this hotel but needs new management.
Exceptionally gracious staff and very good facilities. Terrific pool.
Restaurants were under construction
Close proximity to the Pyramids. Good selection of food at the buffet. Great pool area.
The water temperature in the shower was very hard to regulate. The anti-scald feature on the sink and shower mixers does not seem to be working.
I'd say everything was so nice than I expected before. When I arrived the hotel everybody said to me welcome to Le Meridien Pyramids and the receptionists speak perfect English. Also, my room was surprisingly luxurious, comfortable and of course really clean. Room making services did a great job everyday. In addition, I was able to see the pyramids from the swiming pool and staff warking there were very friendly and nice. What's more? Oh, there were several places to eat and drink in the hotel and I went a few of them. All staff were well trained and helpful. I remember one more thing. There was a bank next to the reception and the exchange rate was the same as the banks in the Cairo airport.
dont judge the book by its cover! photos are very misleading... pyramid view is hardly visible & lots of extra charges. first time MEridian let me down.
In any hotel in Cairo you will find the traffic anoying. I have been to the hotel before and when I came I found out they were renevaiting the hotel and there were no information about. So it was noisy out by the pool, and the nice coffe place they had before weren`t there
very helpful stuff
location terrible (not close to pyramids by foot), nothing near hotel to dine or tale a cafe', cafes inside hotel below expectations
Hotel Le Meridien were under instruction to charge our credit card. They charged the clients credit card after threatening them with jail
theo only good thing is the restaurants and the pyramid views.. Some of the service was great but was a bit to full on.
Thew hotel photos did not apply to the hotel. It was not updated with recent pic]tures and did not look like what we wanted. the hotel is quite old. Hertz car rental i fine but had problems with tipping and some of the staff were to full on. Watch out if you have blonde hair. For the money you pay i do not think it was worth it.
needs to be reorganized
service, food, cleaning
Food in the restaurant was excellent. Not much else was good though, the hotel does not deserve a good rating and the price is far too high for the service that it offers.
Unfriendly and unhelpful staff, general hygiene poor, pool ghastly, unpleasant and old feel
