Clean, few bugs, a few loud customers
Great location to Night Bazaar, local nik-nak products shopping, bars, Stadium Muay Thai Boxing, and Tha Phae Gate, Sunday Market.
All locations, including Montha Hotel, in entire Chiang Mai has ants, mosquitoes, bugs. Impossible to escape. Chiang Mai was not built to accommodate all the tourists, especially the one tourist group with 1 Billion people. They like to spit everywhere and culturally LOUD. Unfortunately that spills into Montha Hotel. Montha Staff can place signs at strategic locations for all visitors to keep QUIET & be considerate of others.

“The room was fairly clean and the location was great. They had a graveled parking area across the street that allowed for parking my car. The staff at the desk I feel was in training but she did really well checking me in quickly and answering all my questions also taking care to check my temp for signs of covid which is great. the room has a small icebox which is a plus.”
“Friendly staff, good location with food and entertainment very close by. Free coffee in the lobby. There’s a green swamp behind the hotel and there’s a lot of beautiful bird life and squirrels to enjoy from the balcony. Peaceful natural setting.”

“This is by far the most comfortable place I’ve stayed at in all of Thailand. Large and comfortable room, the shower pressure was way more than the usual Thai shower. Clean hotel, the lobby, hallways and rooms were impeccable and well lit. The front desk staff was awesome, super nice and attentive and available 24/7. Located close to the markets and easy walk to the old city main gate.”
