Cons: They tried to charge a "resort fee" of $25 per room per night to cover "amenities" such as pool towels, a newspaper, small bottle of water in the room, down service, business and fitness facilities, and other minor incidentals that all major hotels provide for at no charge. I had them remove that charge from our bill. We will not stay there again or anywhere where they try to nickel and dime you at every turn. No self parking - and valet charge was $22 per day. This is in the off season and an outrageous cost.

Pros: The luxury begins as soon as you walk through the front doors. The Sandpearl is a great resort with huge beautifully appointed lobby, fantastic swimming pool, convenient bar/restaurant with poolside service and gorgeous gulf front view. My wife and I went for a four day trip to celebrate our anniversary. The location could not be better as there are plenty of things to do within walking distance. Plenty of shopping and restaurants to visit. I also suggest renting bikes to tour the island. The staff could not have been more helpful and we even received chocolate covered strawberries one evening. What a pleasant surprise. We will definitely stay there again should we come back with the kids. The resort is very kid friendly with the huge pool and organized activities.

Cons: Spa amenities left something to be desired - although the massage itself was great No shower or changing area near pool - we checked out but spent the whole day at the resort since our flight was in the late evening. When we were done enjoying the pool and beach - there was no where for us to change or shower prior to departure to the airport. Only 2 restaurants on property - decent quality - nothing special The resort is not very secluded - it's right in the heart of Clearwater

Pros: This is the best resort on Clearwater beach. We loved the fact that it was situated on it's own private stretch of beach north of all the public access points--this really cut down on crowds. The sand is sugar white, and this must be one of the widest stretches of vacation-caliber beach we've ever seen. This was our first time in the Tampa Bay (Florida for that matter) area and we would definitely go back!

Pros: Loved the 10th floor bar, Jimmy's, for watching the sunset. Have good bartenders & a tasty frozen drink & beer menu. Friendly staff, free continental breakfast, very nice rooms, lots of towels, & comfy beds. Awesome views of harbor or beach (depending on which side you're on) . . . Harbor view rooms have balconies. Good business center, free Wi-Fi. All parking is coversed & is $16.00 per day but it's come & go. Very reasonable & convenient as City parking lots get very full in the evening. Highly recommend, great, fun place to stay. All in all 4.7 stars out of 5.

Cons: The front desk staff and front desk manager were awful. I had two reservations under my name and they originally jad one on the 6th floor and one on the 9th. The check in agent then wanted to imprint my credit card and had a stack of inprinted cards on the desk. I did not feel that was safe and refused which then turned into an issue. There are two elevators for 10 floors and one is shared with housekeeping. You have to use your keycard to go up and it doesn't work half the time. For your money I would suggest booking elsewhere.

I pool was over crowed and no one was policing the chairs. Anyone from the beach (not staying at the hotel) could come use the pool even though they are not supposed to because there was no one checking and the gate did not lock. I saw at least 6 chairs where it was obvious they did were not staying at the hotel.

I paid a lot for my week and I expected a quieter, more upscale poolside environment. It seemed fine during the week but the weekend crowd was loud and drunk. Not a very family friendly environment on Sunday.

Pros: My room was more than satisfactory, boasting incredible water views from every angle of the large balcony. Inside the room, I felt surrounded by elegance from the crisp white linens on the large king sized bed to the high end furniture choices used to compliment the large kitchenette. The bathroom was luxurious and spacious, perfect for relaxation after a long day on the adjacent white sand beaches. The staff, particularly my wait staff at Shor; Aki and Nate, as well as my bartender, Krystin; made me feel right at home as if I had known them for a lifetime. With their pleasant welcome and eagerness to make my vacation as enjoyable as possible, it was easy to see why this resort is so highly rated. I will most definitely arrange for another stay soon to revisit this beautiful resort and its amazing staff and will be sure to recommend the Hyatt Regency in the future.

Pros: We loved the room and view of the pool deck. The location is adjacent to a pristine beach, the beach walk and not far from shopping, dining and transportation. My wife got a shell massage at the Sandiva Spa, which she said was very nice and worth the expense. Our ice maker in our fridge didn't work, but the staff was helpful, fixed it quickly and brought us a bag of ice. The hotel dining was also very good. There were plenty of options, local flavors and the food was delicious.
Cons: There was nothing, that I noticed or experienced, that detracted from our short vacation. It's an upscale resort in a resort town. So the hallway carpeting is worn and wrinkling, and there are nicks and scuffs here and there. If you're the type of person for whom perfection is your expectation, then stop here. You're better off building your own perfect resort from scratch. Save this one for the rest of us.

Pros: Loved the room and layout. Family of 5 was very pleased and felt right at home. The resort is in the perfect spot with a shop next door if you need any forgotten items. Perfect walking distance to Pier 60 and good spot for the beach. I felt the cleaning staff was over the notch! They were so friendly and greeted us with big smiles every time we saw them.
Cons: Didn’t like the limited hours for the pool and it seemed a little too cold that the kids couldn’t stay in it long. Also wasn’t crazy about the parking fees since it’s our only option for staying at the resort and it was shared with the public which made it a little uncomfortable knowing anyone could access the resort via elevators. Should have a security pass for resident floors so the public cannot enter resort property etc.

Pros: This hotel is in a fairly perfect location. It was close to what we wanted to see/do. We were on the 7th floor facing the gulf so the view was beautiful! All of the staff i interacted with was very friendly and helpful. It was a refreshing change from stays in other locations. We were also close to this restaurant named King's pizza and grill. We were coming back to the room on our first night hungry and trying to find something close by to eat. We stumbled into there and personally found their pizza and breaded mushrooms to be so tasty that we went back again the following night! It was very convenient.
Cons: I had a small issue with a few cleanliness things. The first night, i pulled back the sheets and there was a small bloodstain that i wasn't thrilled with and some hair in with the sofa bedding (in the closet). As a whole though, it looked mostly well cleaned. I personally found the beds to be a bit more firm than i would have preferred and the pillows a bit too soft. Breakfast was our biggest dislike. There was nothing good about the to go bags you could get. I do understand there are restrictions in place due to covid but there are other things they could do to still provide a hot breakfast. They could still make hot breakfast and THEY could serve it to you (put your desired breakfast items on a plate or in a to go box). This is being done at other buffet restaurants so it's possible. Other hotels ive stayed at recently had things such as hot breakfast sandwiches and just wrapped each individually. This is an area they have room for much improvement. Obviously none of these things were bad enough for me to not enjoy my stay. In fact, we overall enjoyed our stay so much that we added on a 3rd night.

Cons: We were booked for 3 nights and had paid $950.00 for the 3 nights. After the second night the hotel staff informed us at lunch that we had to get out of the room immediately. That we only had 2 nights reserved. The staff was rude and it was not good. As an attorney, we informed the manager that our airplane did not leave until the next morning and we had a contract for the night. We did not leave but had to produce all our paper work from Kayak. We never even received an apology. Poorly handled. Plus we are frequent travelers who now have a bad taste in our mouths. I don't know if this was a Kayak problem or hotel problem, but it was unacceptable.

On Sunday's they reserve it for hotel guests only......as far as the night club, they play a lot of techno but on Sundays they changed it up. Ohhh I almost forgot about the cheap drink specials. You cannot beat a 2 dollar drink. The resort was awesome all in all. You never need to leave the premises. But if you don't like loudness at night in your room from the music, ask to not stay on the same side as the club.

Pros: I took a blind leap on this one and booked last minute. I checked-in in about 30 seconds easily and my room was a nice 2 bedroom suite with a full kitchen. It's an old hotel with character in what I call "old Florida style". Usually you'll find these around the state run down, but this location is in excellent condition with the room being remodeled. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the A/C was good. I've stayed in plenty of big name hotels that were not nearly as nice. There's no elevator to deal with since it's one story and it's drive up to the room for the most part so if you have lots of gear, you're good to go. It's about 2 blocks from the "strip".
Cons: Those looking for a full service hotel experience won't find it here. No baggage handling, bar, or restaurant.

Cons: Room was dirty, phone looked like someone had eaten a banana and crackers and then handled it. Walls had things stuck to them. Bathroom was a tiny broom cupboard with no fan or ventilation. HVAC unit was dirty and dusty. Mirror had obviously not been wiped down with finger and hand prints and goo on it. The lobby was full of people standing around drinking and hanging out without masks on (during COVID). Couldn’t order room service or call restaurant or see menu online. Had to go into the restaurants packed with people not wearing masks to order. Only one restaurant was doing takeout (the other you had to sit in a non-distanced, non-decreased capacity indoor space if you wanted food from there). The sandy area that showed beach chairs in the pics had just 50 or so volleyball courts set up and all the lawn chairs were jammed one next to the other on a small grassy patch next to the hotel. Not all all the relaxing and safe beach trip we had been sold by the marketing.

Pros: We had an amazing stay at the Sheraton Sand Key. I was notified via text to check in early and request any preferences for our room. I was given an easy access room on a quiet floor and a ton of extra pillows, as I requested them because I am pregnant. The staff was super accommodating right from the beginning! The room we stayed in was updated, clean, and had a great shower. The resort is beautiful with the option of the pool and the beach available. My husband and I just pulled pool chairs out onto the sand past the volleyball courts and it was peaceful and quiet, and very relaxing! The beach is beautiful to swim, and walk along for sunsets. The food at the hotel is great too! A great place for families and couples alike, hard to find! i highly recommend!!!

Cons: As many others have said, the walk to the beach is a jaunt and the weekend we were visiting there had recently been a storm so the walkway was flooded with two plus feet of water. The beach itself was not altogether delightful- run down and dirty. We spent the weekend at the pool which felt very small and overcrowded. At the snack at we purchased a refillable cup only the find after drinking that there were ants in the soda line so our cup was full of dead and dying ants. Our purchase was not refunded.

Pros: Enjoyed the location - Easy access to the beach, umbrellas and padded lounge chairs available for $25.00/day. We saw beautiful sea life (starfish, a baby octopus!, dolphins, pelicans, live shell dwellers) but no jellyfish and no sharks at all while we were there. Debbie, our Beach Concierge, brought us great sandwiches made upon order by the hotel chef for $10.00 each and she told us stories, answered all of our questions about the hotel and the area, helped us celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary -- She Was Wonderful! The hotel is clean and the staff was very accommodating. We had a wonderful experience. Our room had a partial view of the beach and it overlooked the tennis courts. It wasn't ideal but it was nice.

There was about half an inch of space at the bottom of our door to the hallway so we heard all of the noises from the hallway very easily. The room was a typical hotel room but the bed was very comfortable. And it's nothing that the hotel can control but the municipal water there is very soft and it feels like you're still soapy even though you're clean so it takes some adjustment to get used to.

Pros: Beautiful resort, excellent food, relatively close to the beach, and many conveniences at your disposal. The restaurants had marvelous food and service. We were very pleased with the all-you-can eat crab legs and the attentive service that Walter provided. The breakfast buffet had a nice assortment of hot and cold foods. The pool was nice, small but not overcrowded.
Cons: Having made our reservations over 2 weeks in advance, we thought they could have handled our request for a feather-free room and extra pillows. Two of our 4 pillows were feather as was the down comforter. The housekeeper quickly addressed the problem but brought a thin blanket in place of the comforter. The foam pillows had no firmness and collapsed in the middle (see picture). Otherwise, the bed was very comfortable. We were disappointed that the beach chairs and umbrellas were not provided by the resort and cost $35.00 for the day. Another disappointment was with the reservations. When we made our reservations, our room type was "Guest room, 1 King, Gulf side, Poolside, Balcony". When I checked the confirmation email the day of our arrival, the room type read, " Guest room, 1 King, no view, low floor".

Pros: My family and I have been staying on the Clearwater Beach strip for over 15 years. This was the sixth hotel we have tried in this area, and I'm glad we did. The hotel was very well situated with an adjacent private beach and an adjoining IHOP that made our 3 day stay very convenient. The rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. I am prone to developing lower back pain when sleeping on poor mattresses, but had no problems with these beds. This is a no frills hotel, so if you are looking for modern decor or marble bathrooms you best look elsewhere; however, if you are looking for a reasonably priced beachfront hotel then look no further.
Cons: The adjacent construction was noisy. Further, since the adjacent hotel is going up on what used to be this hotel's parking lot, all cars were parked offsite by hotel valets. The problem with this arrangement is that a $15 per day valet fee was charged to cover the costs, which diminished some of the value of staying here. Further, it was not uncommon to wait over 20 minutes to get your car after making the request. To be fair, the front desk does instruct you to reserve your car at least 10 minutes in advance to avoid the wait, but on particularly busy nights, even with a reservation I was forced to wait over 20 minutes as my car was "blocked in by another car." Finally, the hotel has a beach bar that is visited by many locals that pull up in their boats or jet-skis. Many of these vessels are anchored in shallow waters, which reduces the overall bathing space.

Pros: Hotel is very conveniently located, close to restaurants and shops. Has a private beach and pool. We had a wonderful view from our room and enjoyed the music that played until 7pm. More importantly the staff were amazing! Would return to this hotel

Pros: Staff was professional and courteous. Band, poolside entertainment, and tiki bar atmosphere was top notch on a Sunday evening. Everyone was having a great time around the pool and kids wore themselves out playing with new-found friends. When the air conditioner didn't work, they swapped out a whole new unit. Housekeeping was thorough and the room neat and clean.

Cons: There was construction on both sides of the hotel. Each morning I awoke at 7AM to hammering. The AC didn't work in my room. There are no snack machines in the entire place only 1 coke machine. It needs a major facelift.

Pros: What I can say is that the staff really went out of their way to make sure everything went well for us.

Pros: The staff had a professionalism about them, but also maintained an amazing sense of humor. The stay was everything we could ask for. Jordan at the front desk was very sweet and Kyle, who helped with our bags and valet, was also very attentive. We would definitely recommend and will be going back.

Pros: The receptionist was very friendly. The rooms were nice and comfortable. I was traveling with my parents and four children. We had two rooms, and we were pleased with both rooms. My parents room had an ocean view, which my mother absolutely loved. The hotel is close to the beach allowing the kids to take a walk on the beach the evening we were there and collect shells.
Cons: Upon arriving at the hotel you pull up to the front door where a valet takes your vehicle. The area out front was small which made me clostrophobic (I hate driving in tight spaces). If more than one family was there, loading or unloading in their vehicle, it became cramped.
Nestled on the beach, this Clearwater Beach hotel is within a 5-minute walk of Beach Walk and Clearwater Beach. Pier 60 Park and Clearwater Marine Aquarium are also within 2 miles (3 km).

Cons: We are arrived late at the accommodation. There was no reservation in my name with my address yet two other reservations made in my name at two different addresses ???? where we found ants on the bed, kitchen and bathroom. The decor was disgusting with dirty paint work rusty brown toilet roll bathroom rail etc. Couldn't close the kitchen cupboard as the extracted on the ceiling was hanging down. The patio door latch was broken so they patched it up with a different one, not secure. The units in the kitchen and room where disgusting as ripped formica on the cupboards which is very unhygienic. We where told the hotel is being demolished next year hence no updates or repairs. Worse hotel I have ever stayed in.The breakfast was coffee a cake and yogurt, ( not a breakfast ) COMPLAINED to hotel but they said they couldn't do anything I would have to speak to the company I booked with. Tried ringing them but got cut off and they didn't phone back . Will pusue this when I get home. Our view will all go on TripAdvisor with photos

Cons: Shower faucet was in really bad condition. Knob was old and you had to use both hands and a lot of force to open! $15 extra dollars for parking!

Pros: The location was great. It’s across the street from the beach and plenty of restaurants near by.
Cons: The place is very old. It has not been updated since the 70’s. Our bed had holes in it. The furniture was very dirty. We had what they referred to as a suite. The couch was literally an original velvet couch and nasty! The room service was poor. It reminded me of what you would see in the movies as a rent by the hour place.

Pros: They gave us a free upgrade because we had booked our room previously, and all the rooms sold out. The big rooms facing the beach are gorgeous.
