Friendly and helpfully staff and a great Location
Although small, the apartment was well-fitted out, including a drying frame.Excellent for self-catering. A fairly quiet, good residential area with supermarket and other shops close by.
After hours on-call service is based in Toulouse - some significant distance away.
I did not like the hotel because the comfort and services were too poor for a business trip
Very new, modern, clean.
The hotel closed at 7 PM which was not indicated on the booking.com form. After that time a number could be called to get an access code.
Business-like and efficient, if slightly spartan, in the way it provides a bed, plus minimal facilities, for the overnight stay.
It is rather sparse and plain, but no worse than to be expected for the very reasonable price. It is unsatisfactory however that they do not explain clearly in advance that it is not staffed, and of course locked, on sundays, and that you have to phone a number (per small note stuck to inside of front door pane) to get a code to enter the building, and another code to get into a safe where your room key awaits. Their booking confirmation message ought to make this situation clear.
I arrived at about 8pm on a Sunday evening to find the hotel locked and no staff present. A sign in the window directed me to call a number to obtain information on how to enter the hotel and obtain a key for my room. This involved using a number of pincodes and trying to find my way around in the dark in unfamiliar surroundings. I was on the top floor and the lift was broken. No staff were present and it appears (according to the hotel literature) that reception only opens for a couple of hours a day. This is the norm. Should something happen to a guest whilst on the premises there are no staff available to assist and I cannot think how a disabled guest would have managed if presented with the broken lift.
I like very much, because, we have thinked that we at oursuite home.
Yes, i think that 20 m2 is very small
Location in town, one can walk within 10 min to the centre.
Room too small for the bed, difficult to enter the bathroom when bed is in use. Entrance of the garage is very small for a big car.
Very generous rooms (we stayed in a mini-appartment with small kitchen) and close to the center of Clermont (walking distance)
The place advertises itself as a residence, and not a hotel - this is very honest, as it is not even close to a hotel. It lacks practically everything that a hotel offers: The recpetion closes at 4pm on saturday (!) and is completely unstaffed on Sundays. If you arrive later, you have to call a hotline (have your cell phone ready, as there is no pay-phone anywhere near the hotel) to be told the code for the entrance door and the code for the small safe that hold your room key. Quite naturally, as the reception is unstaffed, no roomservice is available, a restaurant doesn't exist in the first place. House cleaning doesn't exist either, so don't expect freshly made beds wehn you return in the evening. We didn't try the breakfast, as you need to reserve it the day before and as we stayed over the weekend, the reception was unstaffed. The lack of a staffed reception desk affects all the other possible services (wifi, parking), so make sure you ask for those during the booking. I would only recommend the 'residence' to someone who speaks at least some French (the hotline!) and who is willing to accept the utter lack of service on weekends.
