Nothing but the best for their guests!
No request went without a quick and thorough response. It isn't cheap, but the service and facilities can't be beat anywhere else in Florida.
A bit too pricey for our regular travels, but great for a once in a while treat.
Staff was wonderful.
Too short of a visit!
The staff was well-trained, resposive, and vocally sorry about the situation that all the guests were facing, and even apologized for the weather. The staff went out of their way to try to make up for everything that was wrong.
Simply put: the resort should not be open until they have finished the renovations. It's like staying in a Motel 6 at a 24hr construction site, but with superb staff and quite good food. There is limited accessibility by foot to any part of the resort. Walking anywhere requires traversing expansive muddy gravel areas, balancing on tippy plywood ramps where no curbs exist, stepping over hoses, electrical cords, and around huge generators, and going as quuickly as possible by what can only be an open sewer pipe near the new pool construction. There is one, possily two, restaurants open that have the same menu as room service. A salad, entree, and glass of wine came to $70. Other non-resort restaurants are accessiblie only by cab (I might have been able to walk if not for the puring rain). If you choose not to gamnble on walking, you must call ahead for a golf-cart transport, which will arrive in 10-15 mins and take you to your destination. A tip is expected by the driver. During my stay, it rained constantly so I never was able to see a vista, the golf course, or anything resembling the images on the resort's website. The pathways that were usable were puddled with water and one had a recurring area of sudsy liquid on it...? Again, they should not be open, but if they choose to be, they should NOT be charging full price for guest rooms. I was staying in a supposedly-renovated bungalow, but the elevator clearly was in recent use by constructoin workers, there were several muddy boot prints in my bathtub upon arrival., the sliding door to the patio did not fully lock, and the sliding closet doors were not functional because of the position of the room safe in the closet. 'Nuff said.
Since the 1960s, the Trump National Doral Miami hotel has been offering guests the Trump standard of excellence. The resort includes four courses including the legendary golf course called the Blue Monster. The 800-acre resort also includes accommodations in a villa-style, a luxurious spa, and Har-Tru tennis courts. The sparkling Royal Palm swimming pool is surrounded by private cabanas and has a 125-foot water slide.
There are 643 guest rooms and suites full of luxury amenities. The rooms are decorated in a very chic Spanish revival style with mahogany woods, gold-leaf, and elegant neutrals. The suites have marble tiles in the bathrooms and balconies with picturesque views of the golf courses or the verdant gardens.
Located just 8 miles from the Miami International Airport, the Trump National Doral Miami hotel puts guests in the midst of all the fun the city has to offer. Guests will not be too far from all the nightlife and parties going on at South Beach. Plus, there are plenty of tropical parks and historic areas like Coral Gables. There is a shuttle that can take guests out for a beach day. Plus, the concierge can help guests book an airboat ride in the Everglades. The city is full of exclusive boutiques full of luxury designs, and there is a large outlet mall for even more shopping. The city is also home to lots of art festivals and other outdoor events throughout the year. Guests can book complimentary transportation to any of the attractions within a 5-mile radius.
