A charming and delghtful Riad. Very good value for money. Staff were very nice and helpful, could not ask for a better ambience. Excellent location, beautiful courtyard and decor, quiet rooms, comfortable, spotless, thouroughly reccomended.
The location was great. 2 minutes from the port and beach, in the medina. It's also easy to find unlike many others. The owner happily helped make arrangements for my onward journey, and it was the first place I had stayed in where english was spoken (as well as french). Helpful for the non-french speakers.
The staff, particularly the managers were very helpful and quite friendly.
Children of other guests were allowed to run around making loud noises early in the morning. The shower was less than satisfactory.
The highlight of our stay at Riad Mason Du Sud was the town of Essaouira. The Riad was in an excellent central location. It was very easy to get there from the bus station with the help of the porters that await you. We were right in the center of the Medina with shops and restaurants all around. The common rooms and the roof top terrace were very nice. Also it is one of the few Riads that offers in room safes and locking doors. Credit cards were excepted and the front desk was helpful with maps, restaurant recommendations, and directions.
The Riad was a bit musty and damp. Our room lacked a window to outside and since the courtyard had been roofed over there was no air circulation. The roof top terrace was lovely but there were yoga classes being held there that forced guests to remain in a small portion as all of the furniture was moved to accommodate yoga. It was a bit of a challenge to get a table for four for breakfast and we thought the breakfast to be mediocre. This Riad was written up in Frommer's and was reported to have bikes as well as a bar neither which was on site.
location, staff and the excellent atmosphere of the riad.
We had a suit booked which was spacious and very good, the hotel was lovely and the staff very helpful. Good breakfast.
Our suit was on the top floor overlooking the street which seemed to be a gathering point for local youths who caused quite a lot of noise until late at night- I'm not sure if this is usual or just for the 2 nights we stayed. Rooms at the back would be much quieter but watching the street below was enjoyable.
The staff is excellent, the location extraordinary and the breakfast very nice. The house and the decoration is very good, a typical maroccan house. I strongly recommend it.
For me was everything nice, but someone can't like the wc
Everything was so nice. There are also nice spot for taking pictures even in this Riad. The hotel staff are very kind, and trying to make the guests feel at home and confortable. We would like to come back and stay this Riad again!!
None.
Staff were very good and the Riads location was very close to everthing we needed to see
The room we had was on the top floor and so they need to put in either airconconditiong or at least provide a fan to move the air abput
friendly, helpful, multilingual staff at front desk, spacious room, location so close to main shopping areas, and the fact that the hotel is on a pedestarins only street helps cut off the vehicle noise and pollution.
bring in more natural light specially to the room at the rear, toilet in the room and the lobby could be fixed up to make them more user friendly and comfortable.Breakfast has to improve, towels are very worn out and not white any more, new towels will certainly help. Shower curtain wil help to keep the floor dry. The restaurent could function like a proper restaurent with a menu that can take care of vegans and vegetarians, fresh juice, herbal as well as caffine free tea, coffee etc.
