Pros: It was in a centralized location - easy access to the Visitor's Center for the Battlefield. It was a clean moderately priced room. Staff was friendly. Housekeeping was splendid. Our room had a little patio. Breakfast was nothing to rave about and nothing to complain about. Will recommend this facility to friends visiting Gettysburg.
Cons: Parking & access/distance to your room could be a bit dicey.

Cons: Fitness center was hard to find, and ended up being about the size of a walk-in closet. There wasn't adequate space for working out other than using the one treadmill there.

Cons: I booked a room with a queen bed and a sofa, got 2 queen beds and no sofa. The towel rack in the bathroom was in the shower itself. Water pressure wasn't the greatest, it would cut out for a second or two I'd the neighboring room used the sink or flushed the toilet. Pool was small, not recommended for kids who want to swim. Getting into the hotel was a chore, the sign for it is way past the entrance.

Pros: Wall Thermostat controls temperature, not the usual high low on the heater/ac unit. The room was clean. The hotel grill had a great waitress and a delicious salad on the menu. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Pros: The room was clean and comfortable, we were there in the middle of winter and there was an ice storm during our stay and still everything worked, heater was hot, water was hot, the staff was very pleasant and informative, the breakfast was good and had a nice variety of items, I left an item behind and when I called and left a message, my call was returned with 30 minutes and arrangements made to have my item mailed, we would definitely go back and stay there again.

Cons: The included breakfast in the ‘breakfast cottage’ is a bit cramped when full of guests. The prepared egg patties were horrible, and some had the consistency of cardboard. Better to walk up the street to Friendly’s for breakfast. My only gripe about my stay.

Pros: I loved the location for how quickly you can get to anything at the circle along with the Staff being very generous and sincere. I felt welcomed and enjoyed the comfortable king bed and fireplace my room had. This hotel is perfect for young couples that will be enjoying the night life in Gettysburg.
Cons: As my subject says, this is not for children. There are a handful of bars nearby including one in the hotel and two directly across the street from the hotel which causes a lot of noise at 2am when they let out. The windows are old and thus don't block any noise so I woke up and couldn't fall back asleep from 1:30am until about 3am as the crowds left the bar outside and those inside stumbled in to their rooms. (Walls are thin so you hear a lot if someone is talking with a raised voice)

Pros: beware that if you book through kayak via hotels.com you are unable to change your room. i booked a suite and was not happy with the layout (two tiny rooms) and asked to switch rooms. the hotel was only half full this particular weekend so they had plenty of rooms available. the front desk curtly informed me that since i booked through hotels.com i could not change rooms. i even offered to move to another room that would be a downgrade and the women at the front desk did not want to accomodate me. i finally had to say that i would forfit the premium that i paid for the suite. however, they were not very nice about it.

Cons: Avoid paying for the parking garage through the hotel. They charge $12/day for unlimited use of the garage, plus there is a 2.50 service charge. If you pay in the garage it is $10/24 hours. Bathrooms are kind of dated.

Pros: I liked the value, sure we weren't walking distance to Washington DC however their shuttle to the airport, breakfast bar, hot showers, good ac's, very comfortable beds and pillows. It all was perfect for what we were looking for. The night clerk also helped lead us to local sports bars, restaurants and other things close to do.
Cons: Tucked away behind the Best Western which is also a good place to stay out, siblings own both. Bar for adult bevs closed at 10 pm :-) probably a good thing.

Pros: This is not a five star motel, nor is it advertising itself as one. But, it was a comfortable room. And, it is an easy bike ride to the Gettysburg Battlefield Park, and walking distance to many of the town's gift shops, tourist spots and restaurants. Also, likely the most affordable hotel in town. If you are in Gettysburg to take in the history, as I was, it's the way to go.

Included breakfast not mind-blowing but it included a couple of hot choices as well as self-serve waffles and good for the price paid for the room.
Cons: Bathroom more than showing its age: Drain stopper out of tub, tub area stained and starting to fall apart, shower mixer handle plumbed backwards (goes from off to hottest, then to coldest as you keep turning it -- this is potentially dangerous). Pool not clean, and such a high chemical concentration that it burned my eyes. Beds old and starting to get saggy. Absolutely no information in room about hotel amenities, hours, or local attractions.

Pros: I cancelled my reservation 12 days in advance and revived a email cancellation confirmation from Expedia. Was still charged by hotel, call the hotel and was told very nasty by the women manager that Expedia never sent confirmation to them, before I could give her any information she told me that it's hotel policy and I would not be getting a refund, to try to get it from Expedia. Expedia call hotel and told them I had conformation of cancellation and that I was due a refund and they claim they never received it. Beware they will charge your card and then say it hotel policy basically stealing your money. Save yourself the trouble and book at the many other hotels in Gettysburg.
