Location and view of ocean
Starting to be little dated rooms vs cost
They are in serious need of a renovation. The rooms We’re so small, out dated and such a disappointment. The only good thing about this hotel was the location.
The bed was excellent.
Some staff not so helpful or friendly.
Strike ruined everything
There’s an ongoing strike. Starts at 6am and ends at 10pm. No peace or tranquility at all. Can’t sleep with the constant drumming. They try to drown out the picket line drumming with loud Hawaiian music. Riducolous. Sheets had sand.
A bit disappointed
Location was good.
Rooms were much smaller than I expected. We stayed in the renovated stayed and the bathrooms were nice but even with just 2 people the room was very crowded. The staff weren’t very inviting. It seemed that they have special treatment to the groups more than the other guests. We were never acknowledged at the restaurant at the hotel or any other staff for that matter. We pretty much had to ask for the attention. So we weren’t too happy with the experience.
Run down crappy hotel
This hotel is a rundown crappy hotel. I’m surprised Sheraton allow them to put their name on it. The rooms are worse than any motel 6 motel. The only thing good I can say is the housekeepers did a good job.
The location was great and easy to get around.
Not a lot of food options for children at a reasonable price.
No SPG points because I booked via KAYAK! Never ag
I have gold status on SPG. I booked via KAYAK and I got a big surprise when checking in: not only my status was not recognized but I got no SPG points for my stay! Terrible! I'll never book an SPG (or Marriott etc) via KAYAK! This was NOT specified at time of booking I may have saved $15 per night but not worth it! As per the hotel, great location, nice ocean view, but the side looking toward Diamond Head is noisy due to the air conditioning tower of the adjoining building. Yes, very noisy during the night.
Bathtub didn't drain well. Water would accumulate very fast. Taking a shower was a gross experience. Hand towels had stains on them.
The open plan of the lobby was gorgeous. The pool area was very nice and relaxed, and the beach is only a short walk away from the hotel.
Outdated and in need of updating
Staff was great but hotel itself was very aged and poorly maintained. Shower were terrible. Rooms in need of dire upgrades. Based on price was disappointed in quality
The rooms felt more like a motel than a hotel. The only area that is decent is the lobby & the gym.
The booking is misleading. When you book most other hotels in the world (outside the USA), the price quoted is the price you pay. In the USA - its the price quoted, plus tax and then in this hotels case - they add another "service charge" which is arbitrary and only for this hotel and no others. Of interest is the fact that when I booked, this extra tax was mentioned in the fine print (not with the room info) and it also said that free internet was inclusive (which it was not). Since then they have updated this page to say Internet is not included and made the service extra tax more visible (after I brought this to their attention). Overall it left a bad taste in my mouth and I wont stay there again. Its simply a scam to get more $$......
Loved the location so close to the restaurants, beach etc. The majority of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The amenities were great. I would love to return again.
They did not supply simple English Breakfast tea bags in the room and such a hard chore to get some. After asking staff several times for some it wasn't until the 3rd to last day a helpful receptionist got some sent to our room.
The bed and linens were very comfortable. The view from our room was great
At 11:30 at night a family came into the room next door and we could hear everything. A little too noisy.
excellent location, its so near for the beach, nightlife, and all kinds of restaurants....
the operator was kinda rude
Good location, nice staff! :)
Lovely big rooms with great views and balcony. Good value for the price. Free internet in Lobby is great.
great location and proximity to beach, brilliant gym-very impressed as it wasn't just a treadmill in a closet!! reception staff friendly and helpful....will stay again.
I loved the location - across the road from the beach. The ocean views, the beds, the pillows, the Hawaiian music you could hear every night from our room. I also found the short guy that greeted the cars when they arrived to be very nice and friendly and extremely helpful when our tour bus had not arrived on time at the hotel
When we first arrived we lined up to be checked in and it took some time to input all our information in the computer to be told that our room would not be ready until 3pm. We then had to line up again and go through the same computer process a second time which seemed to take just as long. I understand that check in is at 3pm so maybe we should not have tried to check in earlier. I just expected the process to be quicker the second time around.
It was close to beach and the many areas to see in Wakiki. The room rates were better than most but it was older and not as fancy.
Buffet meals, We don't eat that much, so paying for all you can eat was not for us, especially $20 for breakfast and $40 for dinner each so we did not eat at your hotel.
The staff is friendly and helpful, accessibility to all services, clean and relaxing atmosphere.
