Hotels near Hualien airport

Pros: It's clean and the owner is very entertaining and answer all of our questions. Highly recomended for travellers. They also have two cute dogs named lele and a-tsai. They're very cute.

Pros: Second time we stayed here, just as good as the first. Would recommend this to anyone stopping over in Hualien.

Pros: The hostel is well located, only a 10 minute walk from the station. The staff are super friendly - and the 2 dogs are super cute. They also had space for us to park our bicycles outside.

Pros: The beds were the best part of this hostel. Still a bunk beds, but it was pretty big, with a warm thick duvet. The room was softly lit when the lamp was switched on and the vibe was cute and comfortable. It was like being in a real bedroom. It was warm in the room too and very quiet. Location is a short walk from the train station (3/4 minutes) and easy to find. Plenty of places to eat nearby.

Cons: The owner was not there when I arrived so I had to wait fo her to get there to check in, but it was only 10 minutes or so not a big deal. I thought the downstairs area was a little cold, but that might be personal preference. The owner sat in the common area and watched TV even though I was the only other person in there and trying to work, which was a little frustrating.

Pros: Perfect location for the start of the KOM bike event. Very near the beach too. Family Mart conveniently very close by. Excellent welcome with perfect English spoken at the front desk and attentive help with luggage.

Cons: Room floor could have been a little cleaner: it was a little sandy (but not dirty)...but then, what do you expect so close to the beach.

Pros: The room, i love the beddings its comfortable. The breakfast, it was perfectly good, there was food for everyone, for my child, for my mom. Everything was good!

Cons: I don’t like the shampoo! My hair became so dry and frizzy. That was bad for my long hair.

Cons: I would wish that the hotel will have a restaurant serving lunch & dinner. Due to its "quiet" locations, there are not many restaurants nearby.

Pros: This is the best hotel I stay, people is nice, hotel is clean, breakfast is great, free bike, free drinks and snacks, believe me, you must to stay here when you have a chance to visit HuaLien.

Cons: The floor didn't have the carpet so that the noise of upper floor can be heard during the night.

Pros: Beautiful ocean beach. We survived on the large, good breakfast because there aren’t a lot of places around there to eat (had to go into Hualien for dinner). This area has a lot of potential

Pros: Fantastic place to stay. Very neat and clean room as per photos. Owners are very friendly and helpful as they waited for us to check in later than their stated timing. Really had a cosy stay and the breakfast was cooked when guest are ready to eat (between 8 to 9am). Freshly cook to serve so we have to be on time. We had a superior double room which had a king size bed!

Pros: Everything! The B&B is just a five-minute walk from Hualien Train Station, so ideal, especially for the bus to Taroko Gorge. Our room was quiet, tastefully decorated and spacious, with a little fridge, great WiFi, and a clean, well-equipped bathroom. Staff was lovely. Not everyone spoke English, but all were helpful and friendly. The communal space downstairs was adorably quirky (I chose this accommodation because I love bunnies). The breakfasts were a highlight, and without a doubt the best set, served breakfasts of our entire five weeks in Taiwan: freshly prepared, and beautifully presented. Totally recommended!

Cons: We loved everything. The location, which was perfectly convenient for us, was perhaps rather a long walk from downtown and the Night Market.

Pros: The staff are very thoughtful, friendly and helpful. My wife lost her phone on the cab and the staff managed to help her get the phone back. Really appreciate their help. They offered lots of suggestions of what we can do or explore around Hualien.

Cons: Would be good to have more pillows in the room.

Pros: Super convenient, comfortable and very welcoming hostesses! The B&B is run by a mom and her two sons and they make a great combo, so the service, help and general comfort are top notch. Will definitely stay again and recommend using one of the bikes available - great way to get around Hualien, especially from this location.

Pros: An amazing stay! The owner was very nice and accommodating; he offered recommendations of things to do, visit, and food to try. The rooms are very comfy. Also were visited by some cats before entering the hostel, which was exciting.

Cons: With the windows open at night, it can be a little loud. Then, not related to the Sleeping Boot Hostel, but buses are not too convenient when going places. However, when you do need a bus, the hostel is close to a bus stop, just watch the bus times.

Pros: The bed is comfortable. And it’s clean. The staff is nice and friendly. Very helpful.

Pros: With snacks and beverages provided all day long, the kindness was high and small, thoughtful touches. The space was clean. The staff was helpful. And the hotel was right next to a lovely Riverwalk that took us to the beach. Breakfast was delicious.

Cons: The beds were firm and bouncy so that each time I rolled over, my husband felt it. Otherwise, it was fantastic.

Pros: The shower itself was very relaxing, and great pressure. The beds were comfortable, and the lighting was well thought out. The breakfast and snack options were good, as well as the availability for seating. Their location was great to go bowling at the Toroko complex, and a less than 10 minute walk from the train station.

Cons: After attempting to communicate with the hotel about their pet accommodations, I was never given a response. Upon arrival, we were told that our cats were not allowed in the rooms. Instead, they had to stay in the garage, in a small room the size of an extended closet, with wire bottomed cages. Thankfully no other pets were staying at this hotel, so our cats didn't have to be in a cage, and could walk around the room. Not so pet friendly. The shower door does not seal shut, all the way, and water gets all over the floor. They recommend wearing the supplied slippers, so that you don't fall down.

Pros: Besides free breakfast, there is free coffee, a variety of teas and ice cream throughout the day. The best is the free supper from 8pm. Variety is good from porridge to noodle to a varieties of dishes to fruits and desserts.

Pros: The homestay owner was very friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to help us many times and was very accommodating. They have a beautiful pet cat!

Cons: The location was not in the centre of town so it was a long walk or 130$ taxi, but it was nice to be by the sea front.

Pros: Nina went above and beyond to help me every day of my trip. The room was a great size, very clean & great value. The whole process was really smooth. Nina was great to talk to and discuss food options, transport, destinations and even a bit of world politics! I felt very comfortable with my stay and would recommend Nina's B&B highly. Nearby Taroko National Park is amazing! Thanks Nina!

Pros: The host is wonderful - she sincerely cares about the people staying in her hotel, and goes out of her way to make sure your stay is comfortable. She was always giving us advice on where to go, calling restaurants to make sure they were open, etc. This makes the hotel feel very homey and welcoming. The rooms are clean and fairly spacious - the beds and pillows are comfy. Clean bathrooms as well, and good WiFi.

Cons: The hotel is really quite far from anything accessible by foot (except of course for a nearby 7-11 and a couple of small restaurants). The host will be the first to tell you that you need a vehicle in order to get around. If you're like us, you'll stay here because it gives you a short head start on the way to Taroko Park, but when you're back here, don't expect to find much in the way of restaurant variety or shops.

Pros: The building has high ceiling, large and clean rooms, the host was super nice and accommodating, who gave us lots of useful information and convenience. We had a perfectly nice stay.

Pros: Great location with a fantastic breakfast cafe just down the street. Nina is a wonderful, friendly host, speaks great English and is a fountain of local information. There's a kitchen, microwave and free tea. It's a quiet location and about 45 minutes drive to Taroko National Park. It was great value for money and we had an excellent two night stay.

Cons: The bed mattress was a bit too firm for me quite frankly, although this seems to be normal in Taiwan. I would have preferred a softer one.

Pros: It was such a great time at Nina's place in Spring Garden homestay! The owner is very helpful and friendly, the house is extremely clean and quiet, I really felt like at home! I will definitely stay here again if I have a chance to visit Hualien. Thank you!! Yana.

Pros: Comfortable room with all the basic amenities. Located near a couple of shops and small restaurants, as well as a bus stop that'll take you to Taroko National Park. Also fairly close to the airport. Most importantly however, Nina - the host - is super nice and especially helpful! She helped me figure out the best way to plan my trip to Taroko, and offered to drive me around town while also pointing out places to get good food!

Pros: The owners are very nice and they make your stay a real treat. Our room was very big and everything was there you need. From our big balcony we had a beatiful view at the ricefields. Breakfast was every day very nice. We highly recommand this place👍.

Cons: The mosquito bites! Over two hundred among the six of us! Be prepared, don’t wear shorts! Wear Long pants and Long sleeves while in and about the accommodation. In town, no mosquito.

Pros: Highly recommend this B&B. The family was very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. The place is just outside of town...about a 5-10 minute drive. It's easy to call a taxi but we ended up renting a car for a few days so we had more freedom to see the national park and drive down the coast. The breakfast was as pictured as were the rooms. I loved that they had a place where we could fill up our water bottles instead of buying plastic bottles. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and would definitely return!

The bed was soft and supportive, and the sheets smelled fresh (which apparently was hard to find in Taiwan cuz it's damp there). The balcony overlooked the backyard with chicken and ducks running around. Further out you see the endless mountain surrounded by clouds. The bathtub was separate from the shower and was big enough for two people. Out in the courtyard there was a pond, a basketball court, swings, seasaw, patio set for tea. This is a place that you wouldn't want to just crash for the night and leave; you will be captured by its charm. >>>The hosts there were lovely and respectful people. We didn't encounter any problem during our stay, and I'm sure that if we did, they would have handled it with top professionalism.
