Pros:This place was perfect. A step away from the beach. Good food at their resturant. AC and refridgerator. Balconies overlooking the pool. And only a couple blocks away from Hildalgo street.

Pros:The new part of the hotel was beautiful. Our balcony faced the pool and the beach. The room was nice and clean. The hotel was in a great location and in walking distance from the beach and many great restaurants.
Cons:The hotel tried to give us a room in the old building without the refrigerator when the reservation was for the new part with a refrigerator. When we told the front desk they put us in the wrong room, the man at the front desk charged us an additional $100 US cash to upgrade to the room we actually reserved. He put that money in his bag. The website also said water bottles were in the room but it was a water cooler in the lobby. For a family 3, we were only given 2 towels. When we asked the front desk for more, they just said they didn't have any. Our door did not have the slide chain since someone had forced the door open and the door jamb have never been repaired. The door was not secure and we were able to push the door open without a key. We had to put cardboard in the door strike to get it to latch and lock, but we still took our valuables with us every day. The customer service was terrible and not what was expected.

Pros:We liked the location of the hotel and the pool area. The hotel staff besides reception was very kind and friendly.
Cons:The man at the front desk was very rude and unhelpful. We asked for towels three times because the showe was overflowing onto the bathroom floor and for some reason it was a big deal. Some of the towels we received were stained.

Pros:The location is absolutely perfect! It is right on the beach and also in the middle of the most active part of the island. Plenty of great restaurants and shops within walking distance. Every room has a balcony with at least a partial ocean view as well, which was very nice. The A/C was adequate and the rooms are well shaded, so they don't get too hot even without the A/C on.
Cons:The bed was not overly comfortable. It would have been okay, but I got extremely sunburned and it made sleeping very difficult. The staff was okay, but they won't go out of their way to do anything for you. You'll have to be persistent if you really have a problem with something. The worst part of our stay was the shower. There was no cold water! Scalding hot was the only option. For me, because of the sunburn, this was especially difficult to deal with, but it was even way too hot for my fiance to handle as well. We had to stand away from the water and splash off as best we could. I told the front desk about it, but it did not get fixed (not sure if they checked it out). I was not persistent because I have a high tolerance for discomfort. Bottom line, if you want to stay in an awesome location for a cheap rate and you're willing to deal with a few "character flaws," then this is a great place for you. If you are looking for luxury, look elsewhere.
