Location and roof terasse.
In part of hotel which should be lobby are living family, owner of hotel.
The staff helped with all inquiries and tried their best to make our stay comfortable. They were cheerful and very welcoming.
There were no reading lamps so that it was impossible to read in bed. That is a necessity for me but obviously not a priority for most people, otherwise something would be done about it.
The breakfast location, on the roof overlooking the Blue Mosque, was very good..
Wedid not like the fact that transfer arrangements arranged with the hotel in advance were not met. The room we booked was not available for first night. We also dreaded opening the bathroom door due to extremely unpleasant smells, and the inside pane of double glazed window was broken with shafts of glass left sticking out. Most importantly we were very concerned that we were on third floor and fire escape exits were blocked by heavy furniture and despite discussing with manager twice nothing was done.
Perfectly situated for sight seeing some of city's main attractions, this hotel is a short walk from the Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia and Topkapi Palace. The Grand Bazaar is a little further but still an easy walk. It is easy to access the city's tram system for travelling further afield, or simply accessing the airport quickly and cheaply. There is a good range of restaurants nearby for evening meals. Friendly, helpful staff made for a very pleasant stay. Breakfast is served on the roof terrace which has fantastic views of the Bosphorus and the Blue Mosque. Proximity to the mosque does mean that you are aware of calls to prayer, but otherwise the location is relatively quiet. An ideal, good value base for a city stay.
Breakfast is simple, although adequate. The addition of fruit and real fruit juice would be an improvement.
The hotel is situated in a really good location, near to all significant monuments and famous touristic attractions of old city. Two minutes from Blue Mosque and Saint Sofia museum and easy walking access to grand bazaar and numerous nice restaurants and cafes. The view from the rooftop breakfast terrace was magnificent, while you could see the Sea of Marmara and Blue Mosque. Additional, any necessity satisfied by the very friendly and helpful personnel. Special thanks to the manager Mr. Omer.
Only suggestion is to put an internet corner inside the hotel
The view from our room and the terrace was awesome!
Sewer gas smell at times
Airy rooms, lovely view of Bosphorus from our window, nice atmosphere and oldey worldey furniture even tho is getting a little run down. But good value for the price. Loved the roof terrace and the breakfast up there, fantastic. Location excellent near the Blue Mosque and other points of interest, felt safe to walk about in the evening and near to the tram.
The main guy on the front desk was pretty vague when we asked for info re getting a bus to Ankara. In fact he gave us wrong info, luckily we stuck to Lonely Planet advice. Other younger guys on desk at night were pleasant and cheerful. Had to ask twice for room to be cleaned but then they responded. We stayed 4 nights.
roof garden and breakfast was beautiful with great view, location was perfect
The people that work there great and helpful, this is a cozy hotel in a great location
cozy rooms for light travelers not suggested for travelers that are expecting luxery
Fantastic location. Nice cucumbers for breakfeast. Also nice view from terace.
The doors to the rooms are low quality. Any noise in the stairs is very loud in the rooms.
