Bathroom would not lock Poor internet Unprofessional unapologetic front desk service AC would take hours to cool in one room
Very good location in a touristic area. Decent rooms, decent breakfast, free wifi.
Rooms are outdated, it is not 4*, maximum 3*.
Service from staff was good and it is easy access to Blue Mosque and Aya Sophia. We visited there in mid-Oct and it was raining and cold, but heating system in the room was very good.
Breakfast starts too late (from 7:30AM) and the room was not very sound-proof and it was quite noisy when people were talking or walking in the corridor.
We were upgraded to a spacious stylish suite, excellent bed and shower. Breakfast area at the roof offfers an amazing view at Bosphorus. Location of the hotel is superb.
Breakfast isn't impressive, same everyday and pity that they don't serve fresh coffee.
Competent English speaking staff on reception and in the restaurant. Breakfast was extensive and regularly topped up throughout the 2 hour period with freshly made food. Ensuring that whatever time you went to breakfast the food was plentiful and fresh. Also pleasing that the roof top terrace restaurant/bar is open all day. Many hotels in the vicinity close theirs up after breakfast which is a great shame when one of their main attractions is that they have a roof top terrace to see the spectacular & unique views of Istanbul. Although a quiet location, it is central, well lit with a selection of restaurants literally 1 minutes walk.
I requested a Twin Room when booking with Booking.Com specifically stating it was my mother and I sharing a room. On arrival we were given a Double. The hotel showed me the reservation by Booking.Com and this information had not been conveyed to them. The hotel was full and was unable to do anything that night. In the morning the hotel arranged for a room that met our original booking requirements. Whilst disappointing and upsetting to arrive to this situation after a long days travelling we were pleased with the way in which the hotel dealt with the matter.
The hotel was clean and well located, very close to all the touristic sites.
Great location .. Friendly staff.. That was the first time I visited to Istanbul. And It was amazing. Hotel is located just a short walk from historical places. And also foods were too delicious..
This is a quaint, small boutique hotel in the historic Sultanamit area of Istanbul right opposite the blue mosque. Location is perfect for those interested in the historic attractions of the city. Although a fairly basic establishment, service is friendly and efficient with clean rooms. There is a Turkish Bath and I can recommend it for facilities. Restaurant has wonderful view. I have stayed here twice and have enjoyed a different experience.
Welcomed at the airport to be driven to the hotel especially great when flying overnight and such a long flight at that. Large room with one double and one single bed. The most comfortable bed ever! Very nice young man at the desk but the girl the next day had no personality. Good breakfast and great to use the internet.
A little gem in the heart of Istanbul. Perfect location, good food and excellent service. Rooms were well equipped and have free wi-fi. The staff and welcome was excellent. If you are in Istanbul then use this hotel. Yoou will not be disappointed.
I have travelled to Istanbul several times on business and have stayed in different hotels. But when I decided take my wife for a short break, I decided to stay in Sultanahmet, which is the historical centre of Istanbul and walking distance from most of the tourist attractions. I did the usual initial internet research and Obelisk Best Western pictures looked good, being recently refurbished. After speaking to Mehmet in reservation and due to his warm manner, we booked in for three days. Throught our stay, we had an excellent service and the cleanliness of the hotel to be admired. The icing on the cake was, when a left behind book was posted to my London office! In summary... Excellent hotel at perfect location with admirable service, A perfect holiday...
