The location is very good, great pool area and view of the water.
The room was nice, but the lighting could have been better - it was very dark inside after sunset. The shower wasn’t great but plumbing was being updated so understandable, and hopefully better after renovations completed.
Just the locstion
We had no water at all the first night! Was told to walk 300 yards and use pool facilities! No hot water the second day. Safe did not work. Property is being renovated and we were in one of them. Standard of decor was nice but totally unacceptable to have no water! Unable to be moved as fully booked. We booked a room with a view of the bay - was allocated a ground floor room near the road overlooking reception! Was told no bay view rooms available!
Close to the beach and sunsets
Ice machines work half the time and towels were taken but not replenished. Cable was out and no one seemed to care.
The kids was disappointed they didn’t have waffles, but after reading the reviews on here didn’t know what to expect but thought it was great... we all loved it
That we couldn’t check in early, but we was there early so not really a dislike....
Nice over night
Clean with a comfortable large bed. Just what I wanted after a day on the road.
Do not count on their Continental breakfast. Toast, cereal and plastic sealed sweet roll. No restocking and out of everything early
Bathroom needs updating. And there's no beach. (The website makes it look like there's beach access)
Disgusting, Dirty Room and Overpriced
Dirty room. Grime in the windows, dead bugs in the screen. The bed was uncomfortable and the sheets were sticky. The original desk person put us in the wrong room, and later we were locked out in the cold winds while the sorted out their mistake. Then they tried to charge us for five extra days. The rooms were very outdated and were nothing special. Avoid this overpriced, dirty establishment at all costs.
Good location and staff, but a bit run down.
The location is great and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
The place is a bit run down and needs an overhaul. Everything from the towels to the showers and windows is pretty rundown.
The view is beautiful the hotel it Okey little bit expensive but Okey. My room it was very clean and comfortable the staff very professional development
The property is old but the rooms were clean, comfortable bed. Location is convenient to John Pennecamp and other area attractions. The adjacent restaurant had good food and service and an excellent sunset view.
The pool was very nice, clean and had enough lounge chairs. I cannot call this a "beach" property. The area that was open to the bay was only about 20 feet wide with man-made walls on either side. There was sand but not much water.
Love how close it was to the water and to restaurants
We couldn't check in early
Beds were not comfortable room was old and dated no curtains in room sheets were wrong size for bed kept falling off
Bayside has a very relaxed atmosphere and great location for my trip. The rooms very nice with the microwave, coffeemaker and good size (dorm) fridge. The provide the basics nicely, no frills, but almost everything. I would stay again as the amenities and location make the price worth it!!
The tiled floors need rugs or mats as the floors can be slippery! I assume the lack of many things was due to items leaving with guests. The cleaning staff are a bit load in their tasks and start banging on doors at 9 am!! It was also awkward for them to base camp their supply and laundry cart in front of my room almost all morning so that I could be filled in all the goings on! It would have been nice if there was more customer service or presence of desk staff of management when you did have a question.
We were extremely impressed with Bayside Inn. We booked online and were basing our decision wholly off of the reviews we read online. Much to our surprise, it was nicer than expected. In fact, we had planned to go further south into the lower keys but were so pleased with the facilities at Bayside Inn, we ended up extending our time there in Key Largo. Exceptional sunset view; lovely pool set up & love the private beach. We will definitely return upon our next trip to The Keys, only next time we're bringing the children. Lots to do there for them!
