Pros: The staff were excellent and helped us be comfortable during our stay. There was a restaurant, bar, and pool, and best of all this hotel is located directly on the beach! There were also several massage places located near by, so you could relax and get a massage while looking at the water. The best selling point for this hotel is that it is on the end of the beach, so the water is less crowded, and you don't have to content with the party scene at night. That said, if you like the hustle and bustle, you can easily walk a few hundred meters down the beach to several restaurants and bars. We enjoyed our stay very much!
Cons: This hotel is very basic and just covers the necessities.

Pros: Staff was very lovely, but didn't speak english well Location is right on the beach and close to ferry port (30 min walk, 5 minute taxi - 50 baht/$2 USD)
Cons: Pictures of room were misleading. My room had fluorescent lighting, shower was just a curtain in the corner of the bathroom, and light from the hallway came into the room because there is a window. The hallways were also very dark. This hotel was very BASIC and you could find much better value for your money in the same area. I paid $56/night and it was worth closer to $40.

Pros: Close to beach, great location central to a lot of good restaurants, best prices on motorbike rental, girl at the front counter very nice.
Cons: A bit expensive for what you get. Fairly primitive accomodation, slightly different than pictured. Very makeshift construction of units-instead of caulking the bathroom floor we had duck tape along one side of the bathroom. For this budget, there is zero need to book in advance when visiting Ko Lanta. I would recommend maybe booking one night in any hotel then renting a scooter and driving around the island to see what resorts look good. It's soooo easy getting around Lanta, there's only one road basically and takes less than 30 mins from one end to the other. Most the places welcome walk ins and same day bookings. Cheers
