I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Oasis Hotel in Kuwait for three days, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Situated in a prime location, this hotel offers the perfect blend of convenience and comfort. One of the standout features of the Oasis Hotel is its friendly and accommodating staff. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. Throughout my stay, the staff went above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed, from recommendations for nearby restaurants to assistance with arranging transportation. The hotel's location is another highlight. Nestled in the heart of Kuwait City, it is within walking distance of numerous restaurants, shops, and attractions. Whether you're in the mood for authentic local cuisine or international fare, you'll find plenty of options just steps away from the hotel. Additionally, its proximity to key sites makes it an ideal base for exploring the city. As for the accommodations themselves, I found them to be comfortable and well-appointed. My room was spacious, clean, and equipped with all the amenities I could ask for. After a day of sightseeing, it was a welcome oasis to return to. Overall, my experience at the Oasis Hotel was nothing short of fantastic. With its friendly staff, convenient location, and comfortable accommodations, it's the perfect choice for travelers looking to make the most of their time in Kuwait City. I highly recommend it to anyone planning a visit to the area.
Pros:After a long flight, I will say that I was happy to be able to check in at 3am instead of having to wait for the normal afternoon check-in time.
Cons:The Hotel was in very bad shape. I was very surprised and unhappy of the way that the Hotel looked when I exited my taxi. Entering the Hotel did not make things better. The rooms were very small and outdated. I was very unhappy to the point that I just went and found second Hotel. So this room option was truly a mess. Not trying to be rude or difficult. I am not hard to please, but just skip this option.
Pros:Room was very clean and tastefully decorated. Restaurant on premises offers passable but bland Indian food. Restaurant did not have a panoramic view as advertised. Hotel is conveniently located central to business district. Staff were helpful recommending nearby shopping.
Cons:Hotel shuttle from the airport was somewhat pricey (6 dinar). The staff have their own taxi driver who charges an even pricier fare (7 dinar) to return to the airport. At check-in I was required to hand over my passport and visa and told they would be returned to me. They were not. When I got to the airport and realized they still had my passport, I called them and told them I needed them to send it to the airport right away so I could make my flight departing in 45 minutes. Instead, they waited until their taxi driver returned and then sent him back. I nearly missed the flight. Moreover, the taxi driver would not give me my passport until I paid his outrageous fare a second time. I will not return.
