Reviews about Ryokan Yamato
“The place was very nice. It was a great experience to live in Ryokan and have a chance to stay in a typical Japanese house. The facilities were nice, the room was big and comfortable. The sound proof was good as well. Japanese pbreakfast with a view on a little garden was also a special experience. Location was good as well, we were able to walk to the old part of Kyoto and to the train station without any problem.”
“Cute little place Great breakfast”
“We got a two level room, level 1 was the "sitting" part of the room and level 2 was the sleeping. we really liked the traditionnal japanese bed. the bath even if it was very hot was great and big enought for two to three person ( traditional bath/bathroom for women side), was only a bus ride away from gion and the staff is really wonderful~”
“Typical Japanese style Ryokan. Room with a perfectly good size and had a nice view of the Kyoto National Museum. There was some really nice art and decoration in the room as well. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was very convenient as well.”
“We loved everything. The staff were all lovely and accommodating. Simple, clean, relaxing. Shared bath/shower room with great deep hot bath and complimentary yukata robes to borrow while you’re there. Recommend the traditional Japanese breakfast for at least one morning of your stay. Kids loved the experience of us all sleeping on futons in a shared room. Easy, direct 15 min walk from Kyoto station, only a few minutes from a convenience store and a simple but yummy Japanese curry chain outlet just around the corner. Would love to come back :)”
