When I checked in there was no greeting. I was checked in and presented with my key but no explanation on which floor or how to get to the room. Once I arrived in my room I could hear a loud noise and once inside the room found it to be an air cooling unit plugged in to cool the room down as the weather had been hot over the last few days but there was no way I was going to sleep with the noise of the air cooling unit. I rang reception who informed me that the hotel doesn't have air-conditioning and all rooms are the same and that I could either turn it off or open the window! The hotel really is in need of an upgrade and definitely some air-conditioning and won't be rushing back especially at the rates charged for this standard of service.
This hotel is in an excellent location and staff are friendly and room waqs great.
The only thing I would change is I would increase the choices on the dine in menu
Professional and comprehensive service; convenient location, easy parking.
Garbo's noise at 05:00!!!!! And generally on our holiday we have found internet access to be expensive, ad-hoc, and not satisfactory. Specifically I cannot remember the Launceston; but really most need a good shake up ...
Location, room size, helpful staff.
old mattress on bed
The clean white sheets after walking the overland track
the room was full of ants
It is in a good location.
On the first night there were a group of very loud young men who talked all night and moved from room to room. If there is a group of young men they will make noise (we all know that!) so they should be booked away from other clients. We were moved the next night and the staff were very responsive but were exhausted as a result of disturbed sleep.
friendliness of all the staff, proximity to the centre of town and beautiful decor.
urine stains in the tile grout in our last room. Need a good hands and knees scrub.
Breakfast was excellent.
It is clearly aging and deaos not seem to get reinvested.
1) Hotel location 2) Comfort 3) staff 4) food
