Excellent food, friendly staff, clean & very comfortable.
NIce place, but bad wifi
The rooms were fantastic and the location was good.
We booked the hotel based on reviews of good wifi since my wife had a couple of online meetings during our trip. The wifi did not work at all the night of the first meeting and the staff was of little help and did not let us use the computers they had hooked into a land line despite there being more computers than people working. We were fairly upset about the situation since it was quite literally the only reason we booked the hotel at all. he following nights the wifi was also pretty bad, but at least we got through my wife's other meeting. If you want a nice place, it is great. If you need wifi, try somewhere else.
Worth going to Lima just to stay here!
This hotel was such a great value. It was walking distance from parks, the beach, the Larco Mar shopping center, and the Indian Market. All the staff were friendly and helpful. There was a reasonable breakfast included and a restaurant on site with tasty food and 22 kinds of pisco sour. The decor in the rooms was minimal, but clean and bright. In the common spaces, it was clear the family who owns the hotel had taken great care to decorate with antiques, vibrant colors, and interesting fabrics that honored the hotel's history as a former mansion. I didn't love Lima, but I did love this hotel. I would stay here again without question. The family intends to open a new hotel in Cusco. That should also be worth checking out!
The walls are a bit thin, so there wasn't much privacy in the bathroom. The hotel is also about an hour from the airport (~50-60 soles for a taxi). This is to be expected, though, if you want to stay in Miraflores. It's just worth noting that this isn't a hotel you would stay at if you have an overnight stopover.
like being in a museum
