Great staff and customer service. Great details to accommodations and grounds. Comfortable rooms. Yummy food from The Front Porch.
Nothing! We will BE BACK!!
Noise from the freeway at night
Short trip with my boys to CA; Universal Studios was our destination. Garland's relaxed vibe was great. Boys loved the movie at the pool. Trolley to the park made it effortless for mom. Restaurant take-out at the pool made dinner easygoing. Pancakes were amazingly yummy. Room was comfy and trendy decor. Garland made this getaway super relaxing.
Would suggest movies at the pool every night- the desk said only on weekends but keep in mind any day of the week traveling with kids is a weekend for us.
Very nice hotel, but trolley service not what it's cracked up to be
Hotel was beautiful and very clean. Pool was small, but the pool area was amazing, with cafe style seating in one corner, pool-side service, and a walk-up bar.
The shower had some small sketchy spots in the grout and the plate on the showerhead was loose so there was a hole showing. There was also a hole in the bathroom wall that was loosely covered by one of those plates you put behind a door so the doorknob doesn't make a hole...At check-in we weren't provided with a trolley schedule so we showed up at 730pm to find out the trolley only runs every hour except at 8pm so we had to Uber to City Walk. Additionally at check in we inquired as to parking costs and we were told that self-parking was $22 and we wouldn't be charged for a second day as long as we were out by midnight. We actually had to pay for half a day.
weekend in LA
Convenience. The wedding we attended was held in the gardens of the hotel. Lovely garden, great service.
No robes in the room. View of the parking lot not particularly inspiring. Noise from the highway annoying. Food not great. Restaurant VERY noisy, food below average. If you are without a car, you are kind of stuck. Swimming pool very crowded, good job we had no intention using it.
Great hotel would stay again.
everything. except the elevators were broken. truly hurt me. both elevators probably won't effect your trip but it made mine difficult.
besides the elevators, the parking is a bit far but okay. everything else is awesome.
The pool area was very relaxing and comfortable
The pricing for food and drink in the pool area was too high.
The room, the bed, pillows, shower, and the size of the safe.
The daily parking fee of 22.00 and the additional 2.00 for taxes . Our card didn't work in the parking meter. We had to go another one. The a/c vent next to the bed was loud and the a/c kicked on.
Lovely orange color, romantic atmosphere, clean room
Comfortable, friendly staff and great food
Location was the only great thing.
Restaurant closes at 10pm. Front desk is not attentive. Key cards always locked out at night and I had to go and have them reprogrammed. Battery in remote died. I had to wait a good 10 minutes before anyone came out to the front desk. Actual room looked like it could have been a former set for a porno video or an old military bunker. Basically its an old hotel with new bed linens and flat screen TV's. The beds were overused and pretty much mush in the middle. The balcony shouldn't even be listed as an amenity as its so small you can barely sit and your view is of the parking lot or the freeway.
The location to Universal studios
It was clean and comfortable.
The toilet seat didn't work properly. Room 155. The food at the restaurant was not very good quality.
Convenient and rather well situated. I did not try the breakfast.
THe hotel is very close to the highway, which is convenient when you leave the hotel but which makes it also a little bit noisy.
close location to the universal studio
The hotel did not know the special request we made to the booking.com. As we are four people we needed two queen beds but we were given one king bed for 4 for 2 nights. Very tight and unhappy about it.
It's a relaxed atmosphere and very comfortable. The decor is really nice . Love the big trees all around it. The gym is a good size. The restaurant has pretty good food.
I think all hotels should have a fridge and microwave these days to help with the cost of eating out, especially for families, and not be charged an extra 10.00 a day for them.
