Excellent 10.0
Pros: I couldn't recommend this hotel more. From start to finish my family and I had a wonderful stay at the Thongbay guest house. Some of the plus points for this hotel were as follows. .Extremely helpful and friendly staff .Beautiful rooms .Comfortable beds .Free Taxi service to town and airport. .Location was perfect. .Delicious breakfast severed to room or by the Mekong River. I would definitely recommend this place to a family, couple or even single traveler that's looking for peace and complete relaxation.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Getting breakfast served on our balcony each morning at a time of our choosing was an unexpected treat. The staff were friendly and helpful, the riverside view was beautiful and the bungalow was very clean. We have already recommended the guesthouse to friends and family.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Really nice to have breakfast brought to our room each morning and to be able to sit on our own balcony to eat it. Very quiet location with a river view and lovely green grounds. Staff were very pleasant. Free drinking water supply to refill bottles.
Cons: More frequent shuttle buses into town. Better lighting in the room.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Such a nice resort villa accommodation so different and so much better than standard design hotels. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staff exceptional.Breakfeast brillant and food generally was very good. Lovely gardens
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The villa style is so different and so much better than just a hotel room. The design was interesting with rough stone walls in the bathroom, high ceiling, planked exterior, so different in every way, so nice, so comfortable. The location was convenient but quiet nice to wake to the sound of rooster and birds not city traffic. Enjoyed breakfast on the verandah overlooking the garden area so different to being in a room or crowded restaurant. A wonderful experience!!! Will surely return.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything from the moment we arrived to the last minute there incredibly warm, friendly staff, stunning river views, beautiful gardens, free shuttle to town and airport. 10/10 My favorite place I've stayed anywhere
Cons: Nothing. Only suggestion is allow people to mix and choose breakfast from all options instead of having to choose set option. Saying that the food was always delicious
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The guesthouse is beautifully situated and in a lovingly tended garden. Staff very friendly and attentive! The bungalows are grouped around the wonderful garden and some of them face the river. Everything works like a swiss- watch and the prices are reasonable. They have a great cook who prepares tasty meals. The air is good and the atmosphere peaceful. Rooms are big and the bathroom as well.
Cons: The WiFi could be a bit stronger and run beyond 22:00.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Staff were amazing. Well trained in customer service, pleasant and helpful. Front desk staff fluent in English. They even invited guests to join their staff party. I'm not exactly sure how they did it but they always knew us even with diffferent staff working. You can tell staff get along well and enjoy their jobs. Facilities were great along with beautiful grounds and views of river and local farm life. It was enjoyable stay and great place to relax.
Cons: A little noisy but not fault of guesthouse. More to do with location. Noise seems to be typical of local population.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Nice place with beautiful garden and also river view. The shuttle service into town was perfect. We have extended our stay and we liked it very much. Highly recommended.
Excellent 9.7
Pros: I stayed at Thongbay with a friend and Could not have been more satisfied with the guest house. Our bungalow overlooked a beautiful garden and every morning we had a delicious breakfast on the porch. The staff was incredibly helpful and organized transportation throughout Luang Prabang for the whole stay. The bungalow was clean and comfortable. Air conditioning was a huge plus!
Cons: The location is a bit far from the center of town, but they do have a free shuttle that runs several times during the day. It would have been nice to have had a little more flexibility in terms of our ability to get into the main part of town, but we made it work!

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hotel is in a beautiful location overlooking the Mekong River. Both my partner and I loved the hotel - the exterior is a beautiful colonial building, and the room itself was clean, comfortable and met all of our needs. The hotel room included a range of different items that were perfect for our stay: free toiletries, soft towels, a bathrobe each, slippers. The room also included: a safe, an umbrella and hairdryer. Any problems we encountered the staff dealt with quickly - they were friendly and very welcoming. They helped us find different places to eat and drink. They also were on hand to help us book any travel arrangements we needed.
Cons: Nothing - it was perfect.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Location, terrace view and comfort
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The facility was extremely accommodating for our needs. E.g. I was served all the coffee I wanted - in my room - breakfast hours as well as what we could order -were basically unlimited - the staff helped organise transport for our trips. Fans and umbrellas provided on the terrace.
Cons: There was a smell of cigarette smoke in my bedroom - on the second day only. I think because of a guest smoking on the balcony of his room above me (I cannot imagine he was smoking inside the room). This was despite my balcony door had been closed while we were out. While this was no big issue for us - I think perhaps Belle Rive would like to know - in case other customers are more sensitive to cigarette smoke.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Amazing hotel, the big balcony in the room with the view on Mekong. The room is big and has everything you need. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast is nice, the hotel has its own terrace overlooking the river
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Nice breakfast and homemade jam is the best. Lovely staff, helpful and friendly.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This is an amazing property just in front of the Mekong river! The staff is really professional and the services are top-notch quality. They supported all our questions and needs and made our stay a memorable experience.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Great location next to the Mekong River and short walking distance from everything. Overall design and architecture of the place was very nice.
Cons: Complimentary boat tour (cleanliness and overall state of the boat could be better, we got all the motor fumes for most of the trip, it was uncomfortable.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location with balcony overlooking Mekong. Very short walk from boat trip down from Huay Xai. Great staff , helpful and above all super friendly. Damien speaks perfect English and provided detailed info when we had to rearrange our holiday due to Coronavirus shutting Vietnam border. Luang Prabang has a laid back feel - very relaxed. Night market good and Kuangsi waterfall not to be missed. Great place to stay.
Cons: No negative issues with hotel.
Excellent 10.0
It was a total pleasure staying at the Belle Rive. We had a very enjoyable stay. Our initial room was good but I inquired as to whether they had anything accessible on one dimension and they rapidly discovered another room that additionally had a stunning veranda with a perspective of the Mekong River. I was excited! They additionally had the best included breakfast of any of the hotels we remained at. Everything was delightful, and the porch eatery was over the road, directly on the waterway. What an incredible method to begin the morning! Water bottles were furnished in our room alongside a guide of water supply stations all through the town where they could be refilled! So bright. We adored this place!
Excellent 10.0
Such a great hotel, and what service-minded managers and staff. The rooms with view of the hotel terrace and over the Mekong river were fantastic. Tastefully furnished with quality items and beautiful wooden floors made us feel really happy from the very first moment we entered. The location is perfect, away from the main road, giving a very relaxed atmosphere, but everything is still within walking distance. The staff had such an enthusiasm and commitment to make our stay pleasant, so do make sure to use their knowledge and listen to their ideas about day trips, restaurants or anything worth knowing about Luang Prabang. So overall, a very memorable stay at a great place.
Excellent 8.5
We were in Luang Prabang a couple of times. On our last visit, we stayed here. I decided to spend a bit more and get a superior room. The room itself was very nice. We especially enjoyed the old colonial touches while all amenities were good quality and up-to-date. The bed, which was in a loft, was exceptionally comfortable. The staff members were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. I also loved the highly polished and attractive wooden staircase going up to the loft.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The accommodation is a bit out of the city center, what makes it quite and remote. The swimming pool is beautiful, and after a nice day of walking this a perfect way to relax.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The location was quite good. Stuff was very friendly. Pool was just great even for children's. We liked very much the room coz it was quite big and very comfortable. And you can take the bike that you will find on parking place, and they were in good condition.
Cons: Only one minus was, that our house was near to local houses so the dogs and chicken in the night can awake you )))) But it was small thing ear plugs can help :)
Excellent 9.0
Pros: All of the people that work at Le Bel Air are so kind and welcoming, and really made our stay a treat. The food in the restaurant is first class, and the pool is magnificent. I can't wait to return for another visit.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The rooms were clean, spacious and well designed. The staff was amazing, friendly and competent. I have stayed at hundreds of first class hotels around the world and this is one of the five best I’ve experienced.
Cons: Nothing. I will be staying here again Gand recommending it to my friends and colleagues.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Swimming pool great. Good position next to the river. Room spacious and stylish.
Cons: View from our room overlooking other rooms.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Le Bel Air has a great location on the Mekong River. We chose it as it was a quiet location close to town. The staff, food, rooms etc all were the best.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Breakfast very good except the coffee and the cappuccino my friend has to pay! I
Cons: For the payment they didn’t ask the permission to debit the total invoice for the 2 rooms with our credit card. We have been already at the hotel. Our wish would have been to pay cash.....
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Good location, excellent service, good food; nice resort
Cons: nothing
Excellent 9.0
Pros: everything was great. especially staffs are so nice and kind.
Cons: - there were some stairs from robby to room, or restaurant. normally it is not a problem at all, but it could be a little bit tough for the elderly. - location : not very close to downtown. cars or tuktuks cannot go through the bridge infront of the hotel. if you can rent a bike or a motorbike, it would be ok. (otherwise, you can take a shuttle)
Excellent 10.0
Pros: All facilities were superb... food and drinks . All employees were great from front desk to housekeeping via bar and restaurant. Their attention to detail was exemplary..

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Wonderful hotel on the banks of the Nam Khan river only a 10 minute walk into the center of town (over the bamboo bridge) or the same by hotel shuttle bus. Beautiful room with balcony overlooking the gardens & one of the swimming pools. Staff (& Stephan) were absolutely amazing & nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was extensive with both European & Laos choices. Dinner in the same location also had a good selection of local dishes overlooking the gardens & river beyond. Happy hour cocktails watching the sunset set across the river cannot be missed!
Cons: Absolutely nothing to dislike here!
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Beautiful tropical vibe and decoration just like you see in the pictures. The whole setting is lush green. Very good location, near the bamboo bridge which is an attraction in itself (pay less than a dollar for a return ticket).
Cons: It doesn’t really feel like a boutique hotel: it is not a small hotel and you don’t get the kind of personal attentive treatment we felt in other places much less expensive in southeast asia.
Good 7.5
Pros: It was a nice property, the only problem was the noise in the room, due to the road and houses nearby
Cons: Really clean and vell kept
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very good breakfast. We liked the laid back location away from the busy part of Luang Prabang. Yes you had to pay a small amount to go across bamboo bridge but it was fun and the hotel was fantastic value compared with a far more expensive but charmless hotel we stayed at on our return to Luang Prabang at the end of our holiday.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The resort was superb, beautifully designed. Excellent room, breakfast was delicious, staff were very friendly and helpful. The garden was lovely, and it has 2 swimming pools.
Cons: Nothing. It's a bit out of the town centre, i.e. 5 mins walk, but even that could be considered a plus, cause it makes it very peaceful.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very nice place - close to the river promenade, but also has free shuttle bus service. Breakfast is amazing, good variety of food, fresh fruits Staff polite and helpful

Good 6.0
Pros: Desk staff were friendly and helpful, and spoke pretty good English. Rooms right on the riverfront are probably a bit compromised by traffic noise, but rooms off on the back alleys are very peaceful. Traditional construction of the units and the decor (wooden floors, old-fashoined furniture) has charm; and it's great to have a little private balcony to sit out on. Their open terrace 'Viewpoint Restaurant', just a short walk away on the other side of the road, has one of the best views in the whole town; but I had very mixed experiences of the food and service there. (It's perhaps best avoided for main meals while they're under-staffed during the Covid crisis.)
Cons: You don't really get much of a view of the Mekong, as there's a road and a line of trees (and telegraph poles, etc.) and a high riverbank between the river and the hotel. Their restaurant just across the road has a fabulous view, but so-so food. The cable TV package is terrible for English speakers, the worst I've encountered anywhere in SE Asia. Only having a couple of watchable channels is really very disappointing for a hotel at this price point. I struggled a lot with mould/dust allergies while I was there, and I suspect that cleaning/replacement of the bed cover had not been done regularly while business was slow in recent months. The elaborate mechanism for tilting the upper portion of the bed I found irritatingly pointless (and it wasn't even working in my room anyway); and it seems to mean that they can't fit a headboard to the bed - which results in your pillows falling down the back of it on to the floor all the time. The location isn't great: although it's nice to be in the 'old town', and right on the Mekong, this is at the far eastern tip of the peninsula - so, about a 30-minute walk away from the famous Night Market, and also from most of the bars and restaurants you might want to visit, on either side of Mount Phousi. As I've mentioned, the quality of the restaurant was rather disappointing; and there seem to be no other facilities - gym, spa, bar - that you might expect from a hotel at this price-point. And the facilities in the room are actually fairly basic (not that much space, no easy chairs...). I'd enjoyed a much more enjoyable stay in a simple family-run guesthouse (bigger balcony, bigger fridge, much better TV) for the two weeks prior for about one-fifth of what they charge here. The Mekong Riverview is comfortable, but far from luxurious - and hence doesn't seem to be very competitively priced.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very nice room, nice environment of the hotel, and staff was helpful and flexible to work.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: staff was so very friendly. They helped us have a tour with a tuk-tuk driver, and the next day in an air conditioned van to the waterfalls. They made dinner reservations for us. Rooms are large. We had a river view room, and it was very enjoyable to sit on our patio.
Cons: nothing.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Really comfortable bed and good en-suite. Nice breakfasts. Very helpful front of house. Good location to explore.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Location, staff is very friendly and helpful, nice restaurant with calm atmosphere, walking distance to main places, great swimming pool and spa, only located nearby but worth the walk. Would definitely recommend it again
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Old world charm. Location is ideal at the end of town overlooking the Mekong River and within walking distance of all the town's sights and restaurants. Front desk staff = fantastic all round. Definitely recommend this property. Same day laundry service too.
Cons: AC was a bit old fashioned, but worked well enough. A bit of street noise during the day. Wonky flight of stairs up to the second floor. Nothing else to add.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: This was heaven on earth. From the comfortable beds to the beautiful balcony and the wonderful toiletries. I loved every minute there. The breakfasts were fantastic, the staff friendly and helpful and I highly highly recommend staying here
Good 7.9
Pros: Great little hotel in a good location Wooden, heritage style Very helpful and polite staff Excellent breakfast in a lovely green courtyard
Cons: A little on the expensive side
Excellent 9.0
Pros: They let me choose my room from the free ones on the day I got there and it was large. Staff were super helpful and arranged all of my tours to Kuang Si waterfall and Pak Ou caves. Great location which is walking distance to most attractions in town. Included breakfast was fantastic.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Excellent breakfast Nice garden were the breakfast is served
Cons: Avoid rooms facing the street, can be noicy from the backpackers restaurant opisite the hotel, but they close 11 pm.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: very good. Room is spacious, a lot of choices for breakfast. We are looking for staying in lotus again.
Cons: nothing
Good 7.5
Pros: Good spot nice and central
Cons: They never made the extra bed in the room
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The hotel is in a very central location of Luang Prabang yet it is in a quieter side of it, as the hotel is located parallel to and in between the main street and the river road. It is 3 mins walk to the nearest restaurants, cafes, temples, and monasteries. We really enjoyed the free flow of breakfast. It is basic breakfast of omelettes, croissants, and really good coffee and local special daily (between rice porridge - the best! and mango sticky rice). The hotel room has basic toilet and room amenities that are kept clean regularly. The staff is polite, gentle, and helpful, although because of the courtyard design of the property can be heard speaking loudly from the courtyard. They regularly ask about comfort and needs regarding food and our overall stay.
Cons: While it is generally a quiet hotel tucked in a quiet street, the courtyard layout of the hotel plus the room with a door in between does not lend itself to complete good night's rest. We were up on some nights and awakened early morning with next door guests speaking loudly in the rooms and courtyard. The assistant manager readily offered us another available room on the second level after we spoke with him. We very much appreciated it! This hotel can do a little bit more work in terms of details of hospitality and service of a boutique hotel.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lotus Villa is so charming! The hotel - nestled along a quiet street right in town - has a beautiful courtyard, super yummy breakfast, excellent service and comfortable rooms.
Cons: Honestly, there was not a single thing I didn’t like.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Nice staff. Location. Great breakfast. I liked all.
Excellent 10.0
The welcome is excellent and we are pampered by the staff, who speaks very good English. I have rarely known such helpful employees. My room was not very big, but well appointed. Very clean. Very nice toiletries. Breakfast very good too, varied with good fresh fruit juice. It is nice to have a coffee break in the afternoon and an extra cleaning service. There is a terrace where you can read. Perfect for spending all day. In addition, hospitality is good. Highly recommenced. I am very satisfied during my stay!
Excellent 10.0
The hotel is found only a couple of ventures from the main street. The hotel is decent. We had a comfortable stay. The staff were courteous and were very helpful. The priests go by promptly toward the beginning of the day to do their morning offerings, so you require just stroll to the front way to take part. Along the hotel, the road is extraordinary eateries of both neighborhood food where you'll likely be the main non-Lao speaker staying there, and cooking styles of all societies, for example, French, Italian, and Thai. Simply up the road is the Big Mouse Brother, whose objective is to help better the English dialect abilities of nearby underprivileged youngsters. Every day they have two sessions of dialect mate sessions where you can sit with a neighborhood understudy and be his dialect mate. Regardless of whether you do it for just 30 minutes, the experience is more remunerating than you can envision.
Excellent 10.0
Our room was comfortably large and the staffs spoke good English and were very helpful in getting us settled down. We had a balcony in our room facing the inner courtyard of the Hotel where breakfast was served and it was so relaxing to just sit out at the balcony after a long day walking in town. Everything was built using wooden material, just as we like it. The Hotel is also very centrally located and we walked around town to cover most of the interesting sights, and the very famous Wat Xiang Thong is only down the road from the Hotel. The internet is also free for all to use at the reception area and they have 2 computers available for their guests. The breakfast provided at the wonderful courtyard was good and we got to choose from an adequately varied ala carte menu.
Excellent 10.0
This hotel is situated in the old-quarter of Luang Prabang, was only a few weeks old when we arrived and already operating smoothly as if it had been there for years. It employs simple, minimal western and Lao design to create a relaxed, clean environment without the trappings of a 5 star resort with appropriate price tag. Its location is perfect, on a quiet one-way street only a hundred meters or so to the market and all the action of town. The staff are lovely and considering the newness of the hotel, quite attentive and professional. Our room was clean, relaxing and well cooled with brand new air conditioning and a fan and even had a bath-tub overlooking the very comfy bed! Added to this, we had free wireless internet and an excellent breakfast in the courtyard to look forward to each morning. I would recommended this hotel to anyone.
Excellent 10.0
As a solo traveler, I was very happy with my stay at Lotus Villa. The hotel is on a very quiet street, but it's easy to walk to most places in town. Even better, they have bikes that guests can use free of charge. The breakfast was a real highlight: good food served in a lovely courtyard. The staff was very nice and happy to answer questions, arrange transportation, and print a document for me. I'll be happy to stay here again when I return to Luang Prabang. Nothing more I could ask for just continue giving the guest the great service that you provide.
Excellent 8.5
They have elegantly appointed rooms which was in sync with the rest of the charming town. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. We had a great breakfast. Full marks to this small but cozy place. We stayed in the wood-paneled Lotus room, with a private balcony overlooking a leafy courtyard. Housekeeping was a daily affair and each evening we were pleasantly surprised to find a small gift on the side table! A very thoughtful touch.
Excellent 10.0
We stayed five nights in this lovely hotel which has breakfast in the courtyard. We had three rooms overlooking the street which was a great place to view the alms giving every morning. Our rooms also had balconies over looking the courtyard and I had a couple of afternoons enjoying sitting there reading a book. The Hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the center of Luang Prabang very close to the main temples and a very short 3 minute walk to the Mekong. Our rooms were large, and the beds like a lot of beds in IndoChina were very hard, but the room was comfortable. Breakfast is ordered so is always fresh and we really appreciated the complimentary afternoon tea in the courtyard. The staff are lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Yes they are building a house next door. But compared to the noise of building sites in Sydney not a biggie. They don't start work till 8 and are often finished by 4. And from what we could see that building will be finished very soon and Lotus Villa will go back to being a quiet oasis is pretty Luang Prabang. We would stay again.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: It is a terrific hotel! Breakfast was lovely, served outside on the veranda, and the wait staff was both kind and accommodating. Both the food and the surroundings were well planned and executed. The pool was beautiful (a little chilly) and resting in the chairs beside the pool was so needed after a hectic 3 week tour. The room was big and beautiful with a great view of the lush grounds, with a super-comfy bed and heavenly pillows. The hotel staff was both friendly and helpful, always willing to do what was necessary to make our stay outstanding. The manager even ironed my dress! Thank you, Hahn.
Cons: At first we weren't sure that we were going to like crossing the river every day, but we found that it was pretty fun and the boat that the hotel has was always there in a flash, so we didn't have to wait at all. Or, crossing the footbridge was an adventure and quite exciting. And it made for a very quiet stay. So, it all worked out very well.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: We liked everything about this property. Enjoyed the quiet location alongside the river.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The Apsara Rive Droite is the very definition of a boutique hotel - it is not just a hotel room, it is an exceptional experience. There are only 9 rooms in the hotel and the staff takes exceptional care of their guests. Mr. Han and his staff will ensure that from the moment you arrive, your experience in Luang Prabang will fantastic: from travel recommendations to inside tips to make the most of your time. While access to the town requires a 2 min boat ride across the Namkhan, there was never a wait and it added to the experience, plus it means a quieter experience than staying in town (noise pollution (e.g. loud music) is not well enforced). Breakfast is first rate - they source coffee (Saffron!) and fresh baked goods (plus outstanding homemade jam) from the very best in town. The limited size makes you feel like you have the hotel to yourself.
Cons: There was nothing not to like.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Mr Han, the manager, was very attentive and helpful. Quiet. Huge room. Oldworld charm of the room. Lovely timber floor. Comfortable bed. Secluded terrace of the bedroom, good place to chill.
Cons: Being picky but the air conditioner was a little noisy.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful bedroom overlooking pool and river. Very comfortable and clean. Lovely breakfast. Excellent service. Great day out at waterfall booked with hotel.
Cons: We liked everything
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The Apsara Rive Droite is located right at the river; with the hotel boat or by crossing the bridge nearby you will be in the center of it all. The hotel itself is very quiet, decorated beautifully, with very attentive staff. Thanks to everybody for our wonderful stay.
Cons: n/a
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Amazing staff and fun taking the boat into towm
Excellent 10.0
We had a 5-night stay here recently and couldn't have been happier. We were familiar with Luang Prabang, having traveled there some years ago. Now traveling with our son, we wanted accommodations in/near the old town, preferably with a pool, and quiet. The Apsara was perfect. Very large room, balcony overlooking the pool, with the Nam Khan river and the old town beyond. Staff were supremely helpful and welcoming. The breakfasts were delicious with more than enough food to keep us going through most of the day. Crossing the river was both easy and fun - a small motor boat, looking like a miniature African Queen, was always at the ready. Also, a seasonal bamboo bridge was still operating near the hotel if you wanted a change of pace. We are seasoned SE Asian travelers, and were smitten with this place and its people. When not if we go back, this is the place we'll stay. Nothing more I could ask for just continue giving the guest the great service that you provide.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Peaceful, beautiful gardens, lovely rooms and attentive staff. Very pleasant stay
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Good location, charming hotel with relaxing garden, good breakfast, helpful staff especially at the reception.
Cons: Some amenities such as cotton bud, soap could be provided regularly.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Nice location, clean room and nice staffs
Cons: Breakfast
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The overall is amazing, very nice building and the atmosphere. Very quiet and cozy place for healing yourself.
Cons: The building itself made from the wood, once someone are walking close to your room then you know it right away. For me it's just annoying sometimes.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The pool and the lounges were good and the cocktails weren't overly expensive.
Cons: The pillows were too tall for my and my partner's liking. Also it would have been good if there were mosquito nets installed as there are a lot of mosquitoes on the property and they inevitably get into the room.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Location and friendly staff
Cons: Average breakfast, it could be better at that price
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff was very kind, awesome. The environment was peacefull. The environment was really relaxing. The breakfast and the food at the restaurant was tasty.
Cons: The picnic boxes were not as good as the food of the restarurant. There wasn’t wifi in the common areas.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Beautiful building/room design and details, well planned and executed.
Cons: The bed is a bit lumpy and stiff. Beds in Asia are always firm/hard, which is ok, but this bed was not of high quality material to provide the best comfort.
Excellent 9.1
Pros: Rooms were nice and grounds were beautiful and peaceful.
Cons: Food not the best but service was excellent!
Excellent 10.0
The Sanctuary Luang Prabang Hotel is definitely that. A sanctuary! After my daytime adventurous excursions, it was nice to retreat to the calm and peaceful Sanctuary. The staff was kind, the grounds were well kept (and serene!), there was a wide variety at breakfast (with good coffee!!), the air-con was strong and the bed was comfy!! And they have nice robes + slippers in the room for guests to use! Everything in the center of the LP is within walking distance to/from the hotel, but it's not in the very center of the action, which I actually preferred. Had a delicious dinner there one night, so can recommend their restaurant too! I enjoyed my stay, would stay again, and recommend to others. Nothing more I could ask for just continue giving the guest the great service that you provide.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: The hotel located in the quiet area and I could relax well even during Lao New Year period. Breakfast was gorgeous.
Cons: They didn’t have room bar facilities like electric kettle so I couldn’t enjoy brewing coffee or making tea in the room. They prepared for hot water upon request but it was not very convenient. The room I stayed was on upstairs and its wooden floor made quite big noise when I moved around. I felt sorry to the guests staying on downstairs.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Amazing compound of old house well maintained and new building respect the style of the city. Nice swimming pool
Cons: Peaceful and beautiful
Good 7.0
Pros: Great architectural style, pool, large room, breakfast, free bikes
Cons: Distance from LP old town, noisy aircon that didn’t cool below 26degress C. and leaked water onto floor, creaky floorboards
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The garden, the stylish rooms, the nice staff
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Wonderful breakfast. Beautiful pool. Really nice and helpful staff.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Really great hotel
Cons: Slighlty out of center
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Located behind a temple, it is a quite and heritage place. Good for family and individual travelers, it is the best location to rest and enjoy the time after exploring the city.
Excellent 10.0
We stayed at this beautiful boutique hotel for four nights during our holiday in Southeast Asia and had a marvelous time. The hotel is situated a bit outside of the center next to a picturesque temple. If you want to visit the old town of Luang Prabang, it’ll be just a short ride by bike. Bike rental is free of charge and very uncomplicated. Our room was located on the second floor of a colonial-style heritage building and proofed to be very spacious and tastefully furnished (room 12, if you are wondering). I particularly liked the wooden floors and ceilings. Moreover, we enjoyed the lovely garden and the pool area, where we used to go for a swim after sightseeing and enjoyed one or two-afternoon cocktails during the happy hour. At some point, a large and noisy group of children took over the swimming pool and started a diving contest. This circumstance was rather distracting. But apart from that everything was just wonderful. Nothing more I could ask for just continue giving the guest the great service that you provide.

Good 7.0
Pros: Location was nice and clean, although the venitalator in the room was really loud. Owner was friendly, typically american guy, helpful, but not really modest ;-)
Cons: Ventilator in the room
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Great location - good tips on local things to do and a very friendly atmosphere around the place. Centrally located
Good 7.0
Pros: Good location right next to the morning market and within easy walk of other attractions. Good breakfast each morning and free tea/coffee/water available all day. Andy is helpful in terms of sending info to you in advance and his family are lovely.
Cons: The aircon machine is pretty old and noisy so we couldn’t have it on at night. The fan on oscillating mode made a weird click every time it went to the left so we had to leave it stationary blasting right at us. There was a gap around the front door and mosquitoes got in, and with no mosquito net I got bitten a fair amount - mosquito coils or a net would have helped. We shared a taxi to the airport with another couple that we arranged through the guesthouse but each couple were charged 50,000 kip which was more than we would have paid if we’d have negotiated a taxi outside. Not a dealbreaker but bear it in mind if you’re on a tight budget.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The owners were really helpful and the breakfast was super good. My room was comfy and clean, it was ok but not a "wow". I would suggest more details on decorations would make it cosier, maybe to change the blankets for duvets to get more feeling of cleanliness, the area upstairs maybe to make it a relaxing place to also enjoy for the guest instead of a storage. These are just suggestions. My stay was good and also the location excellent
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Andy was a nice guy who really cares about his guesthouse, and has made a homely and pleasant stay in a fantastic location in Luang Prabang. He is ultra accommodating and the room was extremely clean, the bed was comfortable. We would return.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: We were greeted warmly with a drink. Andy was extremely welcoming & helpful. Our room was clean & comfortable & the guesthouse is excellently located for the river, day & night markets & most things! Breakfast was fantastic... homemade. yoghourt, homemade jam, tasty soup or eggs, muesli & fruit etc! Andy even made bteakfast for us to take on the bus the day we left. Also.... Its a really relaxing place to relax etc....
Cons: Nothing not to like... Shower could've been a bit hotter if Im trying to be picky!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Good location, within walking distance from the river, the night market, the food street and most attraction sites in town. The owner was super friendly and offered help and information. Very good breakfast. Large communal area with free cold water and tea/coffee. Large, comfortable room and good wifi.
Cons: A bit pricey.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Best stay in Laos for us 😊 Great Breakfast 🥰 Very Nice owners 😘
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Andy and his staff were efficient and hospitable. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The bed was comfortable, the room quiet and in general things were clean and well kept.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff at the Guesthouse were very friendly and accommodating - and Kone was particularly helpful on our first night when he assisted us with Kip to use the Bamboo Bridge and that helpfulness continued throughout our stay. The domestic staff work particularly hard and did a great job sorting out our room everyday when in fact we did not expect that level of service. The place is very clean indeed. Probably one of the friendliest places we have stayed in. The proprietor was particularly affable when we found out that I’d left with the room key! Thoroughly recommend for value for money.
Cons: There’s nothing to dislike about the place, though if I might suggest something, it is that access to a kettle would be very useful for tea addicts such as myself 😀
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Friendly staff, lovely old building, room was small but comfortable and clean, excellent quiet location close to local food places etc as well as the bamboo bridge to the town centre and market etc which was awesome. Delicious options for breakfast. Free pick up from bus and drop off to the airport because we stayed 5 nights - much appreciated
Cons: Nothing disliked - all was good
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The staff were really friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast was very good. They also arranged motorbike rental and lent us bikes. Something we hadn’t expected also was a free airport transfer which was greatly appreciated.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: We really enjoyed our stay there, the room was confortable and big enough for 2 people. In general the hotel is quite clean (you need to take your shoes off before entering the reception). Staff super friendly and helpful, you can also rent a scooter through reception, and they bring it there and also they take it back when you are done
Excellent 8.3
Pros: I’d like thank you for warm welcome and your hospitality. Owner and staff were incredibly friendly and supportive. Location close bamboo bridge. We’d love to come back again👍👍
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Helpful staff. Friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Good location close by the Bamboo Bridge.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The house is a beautiful structure, so much Rose Wood. It is a visual feast! My room was nice, and the king bed, very comfortable. I had a fridge, cable tv, and fresh towels every morning. Staff were always friendly, helpful and curtious, and the house was kept very clean. The house is located across the Nam Khan River, a short and interesting walk from town.
Cons: N/a
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Friendly and kind owner (Mr Khamphone) and staff (Kone and Ma Thor) who are always willing to help. Clean and comfortable room and facilities. Quiet location and just a few minutes' walk to downtown across bamboo bridge. Good choice of breakfast menus. Value for money.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: 1. The toilet and the shower area are separate. I noticed that it is common to see them together here in Laos so this works to my liking. While it is a guesthouse, it offers shampoo and soap and free water per day too. 2. It is not in the busy crowded street but reachable via the bamboo bridge (w/c is up during drier season so around 6 mos; cost 7k kip per person roundtrip) Alternately, the city center is near ie bikable. You just have to go to the other bridge. 3. I love my local breakfast - rice noodles. My friend loves the noodle soup 4. The owner and "boss" 😉- Khampone - and his staffs at day (Ma) and night (Kone) for ever helpfulness esp the boss who pretty much arranged tours and transfer van for us. Price is reasonable. Also, as we stayed for 3 nights, we got free airport pickup. 5. The place is really wonderful ie aesthetically pleasing - see my outside photo. Would love to lounge there ;)
Cons: The brewed coffee
Excellent 10.0
Mr Phone will receive you as part of the family and will make everything to make you happy. 1st class service.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great place to stay. Wonderful staff. Was picked up from airport upon arrival in Luang Prabang and also returned to airport for our departure. There were bicycles to use to wander around. The location is great, with the bamboo bridges very close by, but in a quiet neighborhood. There are eating options on the same side of the river as the guesthouse. if you don't want to cross over the bamboo bridge in the evening. Guesthouse was clean and room was more than adequate for the price. Would recommend!

Good 7.1
Pros: Location.
Cons: No swimming pool.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Staff were really friendly and helpful, made us feel right at home. Room was very clean. The Hotel Spa was excellent. I've never felt so pampered and rejuvenated. I highly recommend the body cleanse and scrub. The Hotel is very peaceful and a great place to relax.
Cons: The wifi intermittently dropped. Connection lasted about 5 to 10 mins between drop outs.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The atmosphere and the location
Cons: The bamboo bicycles need a thorough overhaul
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Good food, good location with a very good staff.
Excellent 10.0
I very much enjoyed my two nights at the hotel. Great location in a quieter part of town, but still just a few minutes walk away from the action of the busy main street. Staff was also very friendly, helpful and efficient. Check in and check out was a breeze. I particularly like how they go the extra mile to make their guests comfortable - from the relaxing music playing in the room when you check in, to the turn-down service (with a nice little memento left on your bed every night), to the very attentive service at the restaurant for breakfast. Would definitely come back if I find myself down in Luang Prabang again. Nothing more I could ask for just continue giving the guest the great service that you provide.
Excellent 10.0
I stayed for 4 nights in this lovely hotel. Room is good size and air conditioning worked really well, which was nice after a long day out touring. The morning breakfast was very nice and it situated across from the Mekong River. Very relaxing and picturesque. The hotel is nestled in a residential area that is right outside one of the most important temples and right outside of downtown. We walked everywhere, but there were bikes available for use as well. No need for a taxi at all. We had a massage one day at the Spa and it was very relaxing. Our flight was an early morning flight and they prepared a take away breakfast that was much more than we could eat, but very thoughtful and delicious. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

Pros: Good location, very central. Breakfast is good as well. The rooms are big and comfy, however the sink was leaking a bit.
Cons: The first room we had was not ok. It had some strange smell and the bedsheets were not properly cleaned. We've got a new room which was much better. Some members of the staff don't speak Englis at all.

Pros: Nice location and the staff were very friendly, helpful and nice. Our family was upgraded to residence family suite. PS: the intership guy was so helpful and friendly!!!
Good 6.3
Pros: Location
Cons: No private terrace
Good 7.1
Pros: The most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions.
Cons: Our room was situated directly next to the kitchen with a thin wall so we were woken up by the sound of dishes being cleaned late at night and at 7am- a pity as the bed was so comfortable! Ear plugs were provided but didn’t quite mask the noise enough for us.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Rooms were well presented. Breakfast menu extensive and food excellent. Fantastic location- well situated for walking round town and historic sights. Staff were very professional, friendly and spoke good English
Cons: Nothing I could fault
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Staff service was excellent! They were very hospitable and made our stay really comfortable. The restaurant food was great! :)
Cons: Squeaky floor although I understand that it’s a historical building for a good reason. The metal lids of glass bottled drinking water had black marks inside (mold?). Again I understand the efforts in reducing plastic waste. I suggest the metal lids be treated with boiling water for sterilization.

Pros: Superb service- my family goes every year and we love this hotel, and their staff! They are super caring and meticulous towards their guests’ needs
Cons: Nothing!

Oh my goodness, my entire family fell in love with Luang Prabang and a lot of that love was fostered by Hotel 3 Nagas. If you are going to Luang Prabang with the distinct desire to take in both its UNESCO city center and the alms-giving, then has to be the very best hotel option. Built from previous homes or mansions, right in the city center and literally beside the alms-giving, this hotel is perfection. The service is friendly and oh so hospitable, the restaurant very good, the ambience lovely, and this is all packaged up with the bow of perfect location. We loved this hotel and hope to return. Nothing more I could ask for just continue giving the guest the great service that you provide.

Stayed 2 nights in this 15 room hotel. We were warmly received by hotel staff. Before showing us to our room, staff shared with us what we can do during our stay. Possible itinerary and the transport arrangements. We had no clue and expectation so it was really cool to have someone giving us useful tips. What we liked about the room is the ambiance and amenities. What we didn't like about the room is the loud creaking sound from opening/closing bathroom door and the cabinet door housing the security safe. Breakfast spread is simple but delightful especially the juices. Perhaps due to the size of property, hotel was very strict not to allow extension of check out time. That caused us some stress because the travelling out to local attractions took time especially when we had it on our departure day. Overall, we feel it's still an excellent place to be for a short getaway. Kudos to warm staff hospitality. Thank you so much.
Excellent 9.7
Pros: This was our third stay and it was every bit as good if not better than the first two. We had a large room with big bed covered with mosquito netting. The bathroom was modern but the hotel was wooden and felt like something from the early 20th century. The staff kept it clean. We had a terrace overlooking the garden. The breakfasts were excellent both western and Laotian.
Cons: Not much. Staff smoothed over any wrinkles.
Excellent 9.4
Pros: This was our fourth trip and every bit as good as the other times we had hoped and requested rooms we'd had before but the staff worked to find us one as good. The staff bends over to make the stay momorable and succeeded. Recommended highly.
Cons: Not much. Food was better than last time. The hotel used to have a small shop but that's gone. I had bought great gifts in the past.
