Good Hotel is a great neighborhood of Macau
Nice older hotel with good facilities, friendly staff and excellent Chinese restaurant in the lobby. Also, Guia Hill area is a very nice area of Macau to walk and explore the real Macau, not the casinos. I will stay there again.
There is a pervading musty smell in the hotel.
Facilities to view the Macau GP from the roof
Rooms could do with being refurbished. No automated way of paying credit card (manual slips and call to CC company). Charge for instant coffee. Checking out procedure took a long time as they check mini bar. If I ever stay there again I will ask for the Bar to be emptied
Price worth for the services
Too noicy as there are always group tour members
Hotel is situated on the hill and room with a balcony offered a good view of the city at night. District is godo as well, with a UN building and various schools around. Staff is very helpful and friendly. They helped us to call places to find a forgotten camera. Internet is free in the room. Snacks and water in the room are priced like in convenience stores (cheap). TV offers international channels. Great and inexpensive dimsum restaurant on premises. For those wishing to spicy up evenings, there is a night club in the ground floor with strip-tease show and more.
Breakfast option is limited to dim-sum restaurant. While making absolutely great dim-sum, this is not the best breakfast option. Guests may want to chose to go to a nearby Hotel Royal for Chinese/western breakfast buffet (HK120). Location is not ideal for visiting the city, since you'll need a shuttle or taxi to reach most of city destinations. Arriving to the hotel by taxi, make sure you have it's Chinese name written on a paper and show this to the driver, otherwise the driver won't understand where to go.
clean room, location
I lik the location of the hotel bcause it is on Guia Hill, the highest part of Macao and besides Guia Hill is also historic.
A stay at Hotel Guia places you in the heart of Macau, within a 15-minute walk of Ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral and Senado Square. Featured amenities include express check-in, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. A ferry terminal shuttle is provided at no charge.
