Bare minimum for stay. Beds not comfortable. No Hair dryer. Shower head leaking. Non smoking room smelt horribly like smoke. No Kleenex.
clean, updated, close to mountain, good value
small bathroom towels, low shower pressure, no hairdryer
The Motel 6 is a dependable place to stay in Mammoth. The renovation is appreciated. A nice place to stay with a friends staff.
This is a very minor issue, but the heater was cranked up to maximum when we walkers into the room. It was insanely hot.
Nonsmoking room smelled like smoke, the bed was really uncomfortable and the a/c didn't work well at all.
Clean, convenient, quiet, dog friendly, but no cof
It's a great place to park your stuff and sleep. I didn't bring my dog this time, but they allow dogs. The rooms are nice and clean. Spare, but nicely designed. Staff was friendly and efficient. This was my second time staying there and it probably won't be the last, as it's a great value compared to everything else in town. The location is also good for skiers as it's close to the mountain and two shuttle stops.
There was no coffeemaker, no tissue, no little shampoos, and no hairdryer. They give you a couple of measly bars of soap and that's it. Not having a coffee maker is a major problem when you're there in the winter to ski and can't make a hot drink in your room.
Wood floors made it cold on my feet in morning
My stay was ok, nothing special. There were some
Good location, central to everything. Close to the village.
Not enough parking in front of my room. People with motorcycles are hogging up one space each! I was forced to park on the other side of the building away from my car. It was a hassle to load and unload luggage. Parking should be assigned with a parking pass that shows your room number or something... No shampoo provided in the bathroom! For $116 a night plus taxes, a sample size bottle should be included. Nearly every motel I've stayed at provides it. I had to wash my hair with barsoap. Not happy about that. TV remote had dead batteries in it... Toilet seat would not stay up on its own. It kept slamming down on its own. The toilet was also nasty under the seat and in the hinge area. They never cleaned under it! Mattress was too stiff to sleep well on. I had a sore back for 2 days. The ceilings creak when people upstairs are walking at night. Very annoying. Wifi was "free" but only for 24 hours eventhough I was staying for 2 nights... it was also very slow!

Good location. With pool although we did not use it.
We had to pay for internet and the front desk said it is good for viewing emails. It wasnt. The room is a bit small for the 2 beds for the price of $168.
Surpringly updated rooms. Clean.best value.
2 story. No spa.
Small but up to date, mgmt was accomodating
The room was very small but the furniture/decor was up to date and very functional, space wouldn't have been an issue if we weren't cramming 4 bikes into the room with us. The mgmt put my pizza in their fridge and was overall very helpful. Modern windows and doors meant the room was quiet when sealed.
The AC went out, which meant we had to leave the windows open, and the modern dual pane windows when closed keep the noise of other travelers comings and goings to very low levels. With the windows open large groups of foreign travelers rambling off in their native languages at 1 in the morning will drive anyone insane! The GM Gary was very understanding of my complaint and very graciously compensated us for the trouble, which was a pain for them since I paid through expedia/kayak. TLDR?: I had a problem that couldn't be fixed, GM covered it immediately
Whole family weekend getaway
Pet-friendly--it had a path below the property where you can walk the dogs; poop bags and receptacle at the back of property. The location can't be beat---across is a bakery and an outlet and a few more shops. McDonald's, Rite Aid, and lots of gas stations nearby. Oh, and did I mention that the USPS is right beside it? It's only a few minutes drive away from Mammoth Ski resort and Twin Lakes. We never consider staying at Motel 6 properties but the reviews we've read of this particular Motel 6 at Mammoth Lakes were reliable. It wasn't like it-must-have-bed-bugs-and-molds thing or anything like that. The modern decor is kind of nice and they did choose material (bed covers, curtains and wood flooring) that could repel fur. I appreciate the service of the staff as well. They went beyond just a smile and made sure our reservations were taken care of. (This review is based on a stay before the summer season ended.)
Just the fact that they didn't provide any bathroom amenities like shampoo, conditioner, and hair dryer. But maybe that's the Motel 6 way, I wouldn't know because I've never stayed in one. There was no coffee pot either, luckily I decided to bring my electric kettle.
Great place to stay
Close to restaurants and to the village also free transportation to go around town great views a good spot to be with the family
It was quiet at night so we could rest.
The beds were horribly uncomfortable, the water in the sink was either super hot or freezing cold, no in between. The room had several carpet stains from wear and tear, but at some point, you need to replace the carpet. The entire room showed a lot of wear and tear so it looked really low class. Overall, the room was "dingy & depressing". I realize this is a Motel 6 and not a Hilton but for $75 (and we only stayed 8-9 hours!) we would have liked a little more comfort for our money. Thanks. (PS-my cousin and I have stayed in this motel several times in the past and this is the worst we've seen it.)
Very basic and overpriced.
No breakfast. No fridge and hair dryer.
close to area of interest and clean and value for money
No Internet and no Laundry available = both broken
Rapid check-ou, easy to find
Swimming pool wa out of use, however advertised
Close to Yosemite and in a very nice setting at Mammoth
Wonderful area (lakes, mountains, clean air ...). The hotel staff were excellent -- friendly and service-minded. I also recommend the local brewery -- the Mammoth Brewing Company.
Not great value for money for single travelers
The view, localization and price
Check-in speed, high temperature in lobby
Location was nice, it was nice they had a washing machine, inexpensive.
Not a very quiet room, I could hear noise from the room above us.
Very quick check-in, cheap internet (3 $ per day), clean room. Completely enough if you are travelling and need something to sleep.
The staff was ok, they informed me that they do not guarantee that in my room I will have internet, but I can pay and check (non refundable). Fortunately for me internet was working well.
