Excellent 10.0
Pros: After picking us up from the airport on the day of our arrival. The next day we were even driven to our meeting designation. Excellent service
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff were amazing and helpful. The rooms large, very clean and great breakfast and unlimited coffee. Location ideal for trams or walking.
Cons: I had to leave it.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Super clean. Staff was friendly, clearly explained everything.
Cons: Move options can be added into breakfast menu.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The closest Hotel to the Fair of basel. Clean and spacious. I will definitely come back again.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The staff were absolutely top class and friendly! They even dropped me off to the train station!!!
Cons: Quality of the toiletries could be better..
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Our hosts were exceptional! They went out of their way to assist us. Our stay in Basel was comfortable and the hotel is close to trams and buses, restaurants and cafes. There was even a carnival up the road which had a fun and festive feel to it.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent
Cons: Pretty much perfect
Excellent 8.5
If you are looking for a small, clean, spacious, friendly hotel then the Micro Hotel is the place to stay in Basel. It is a short walk away from the Basel Bad bf station which we wanted but in easy reach of the old town, especially with the free transport pass. The rooms are spacious and each with a large balcony, breakfast is simple but enjoyable. The main feature of this hotel though is the friendliness of the staff which is outstanding. All in all, we think the Micro Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The cleanliness of the generously sized rooms, friendliness of staff, the very healthy breakfast, and convenient WiFi totally won us over. We would highly recommend the Micro to anyone visiting Basel.
Excellent 8.5
As the name suggests, the Micro hotel is small with only a handful of rooms. The rooms though are modern, spacious, very comfortable, spotlessly clean, quiet and equipped with all the amenities you could ask for. Both rooms had a balcony, very good beds, and a decent (free of charge) WiFi connection. Breakfast is served in the basement and offers a large variety of juices, cold cuts, bread, yogurt, etc. with newspapers to go with it. The true greatness of the hotel, however, must be the family that runs the place. Incredibly helpful and friendly, they will make you feel welcome the minute you walk in and will go out of their way to help you.

Good 7.0
Pros: Location fabulous and staff wonderful. Lovely sense of history. Amazing cocktails!
Cons: Room very small but of course based on original footprint. Breakfast staffing poor. Difficult to justify the price.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The Place and facility to walk in city
Cons: The star restaurant and the friendly personal
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Outstanding food and service in the Brasserie restaurant. The staff in general blew our mind and made ever wish a reality in no time! Aweseome.
Excellent 8.5
To start we paid extra for the Bentley covered in graffiti to pick us up at the airport in Mullhaus, France. The money goes to a charity, so you feel good and get a great ride. The hotel is magnificent full of charm and character, they say Napoleon stayed here. The lobby and sitting area looks onto the Rhine that just draws you into a large beautifully furnished room reminding us of centuries back (picture of centuries back of course). In the cellar is a cigar room bar which you can get into with your room key, I don’t smoke but I may try one just for the experience after dinner. The hotel has the best restaurant in Europe, I’ll give you my opinion after dinner tonight. It’s a 3 Michelin rating, I’m excited.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: The use of space in the room. So many 'features' packed in a small room. Very much liked the friendly staff and the shower in the room. Hotspots in Basel are close-by and the BaselCard (discounts and free public transport) is included.
Cons: The location, even though it's very central, is not very pretty.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Remarkable choice of vegetables in addition to usual fruit, meat, cheese, breads, etc. Location is extremely convenient to old town and public transport. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Bathroom somewhat small, but quite adequate. Practically impossible to use shower without water escaping to the floor. Public parking across the street rather expensive.
Good 7.0
Pros: Nice staff
Cons: Very noisy, not easy to find
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Great stay right in/near the old city centre. Excellent value for money. We had the small room but generously equipped with coffee tea, water facility, bath essentials good beds, which made up for the rather mini bathroom. We loved the staff. How friendly can one be! Parking is easy in the parkhouse on the other side of the street. But a tunnel leads almost directly to the entrance, excellent!
Cons: Mini but excellent equipped and spotlessly clean bathroom.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Well designed comfortable room, very friendly staff, great breakfast
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Clean, modern. Nice staff, good breakfast
Cons: No airco.
Excellent 8.5
First impressions are important and my check in was friendly and efficient. The front desk attendant actually brought me up to my air conditioned room. It was an AC-equipped room facing the street. It was very hot during my visit to Basel so I am glad I splurged on the AC (not all rooms have AC). Breakfast in the garden was lovely. The location is handy to the train station and to the central shopping and dining area of Basel but you do need to walk a few blocks. Last: this hotel is owned by a Swiss charity that serves the homeless and poor. Staying here makes a difference in someone else's life! I would stay here again.
Excellent 8.5
Awesome hotel great price and great location. Easy 5-10 minutes walk to old city center. If tired at end of day bus stops outside the front door. The hotel provides free bus/tram pass so you can easily get to the train station and then one bus stop beyond to hotel. At end of the day, you are met with a free drink and there is a great garden to enjoy it in. Twice we brought food and had dinner and wine in the garden. Great way to end the day. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was much larger then I expected and very clean and comfortable. Most TV channels I have ever seen in a hotel.
Excellent 10.0
The Steinenschanze is on a main road which could be a problem if you like an open window. Apparently rooms at he back are quieter but the outlook more restricted. Just one stop from the SBB station on the regular bus number 30 brings you to directly outside the hotel as you exit the railway station you can find the bus to your left and across the road opposite the number 50 airport bus. The welcome by the reception staff was very warm and helpful and the details of the hotel explained in clear English. The bedroom was small but had most of what was needed, the most obvious lack being a fridge. The shower had a curtain rather than a door. Unusually the mattress on the bed was a full double rather than two singles in one frame. It was certainly the most comfortable hotel bed we have ever slept in. Firm but very, very comfortable indeed. The breakfast room was large and airy and no doubt can spread out into the garden in the warmer times of the year. The choice of food was good and the staff, like their colleagues on the front desk, were friendly and helpful. The hotel is not in the old town but it's only a five to ten minutes' walk to the Barfusserplatz, the centre of the old town. In summary, it's an ideal city hotel with friendly, helpful staff and small but comfortable rooms. Recommended.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff was professional, curteous, multi-lingual, and the front desk was always staffed. The hotel was amazingly generous with coffee, wine and snacks available throughout the day and evening. I also had free access to a computer and internet and a quiet place to settle in and work near the coffee, wine and snacks. A variety of international newspapers and magazines were available as well. Within just a few hundred yards I found the Marketplace, filled with shops, restaurants, and an art museum with an impressive collection of impressionist paintings (my favorite) was also just a 10 minute walk away. Did I mention there was free coffee, wine and snacks?

Pros: Location and style, loved the fireplace room
Cons: Amenities lacking; paper and pen in room, instructions for climate control,
Excellent 10.0
Cons: all was excellent!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Good. Adequate worth the money, a lot of restaurants closed on a Sunday morning
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Hotel Rochat provided an excellent experience for a bargain price. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful during our entire 4 day stay. The hotel is a smaller, boutique hotel on a quiet street near restaurants, bus and tram stops. Our room (#14) had an extra sitting area and was on the 2nd floor overlooking the private courtyard. It was extremely quiet. On weekday mornings, we arose to the lovely sound of the Peterskirche bells. Rather than annoying, the bells added to the atmosphere of our vacation. There is elevator access, air conditioning, a refrigerator, a very modern bathroom with a rain shower head and excellent wi-fi. We were so pleased with everything! At first we were hesitant to pay 16 Euro each for breakfast, but after eating out in Basel, we soon realized that was a bargain price for Switzerland. The buffet offers a huge selection of eggs, meats, breads, cheeses, fruits and excellent coffee, lattes, tea and juices. We ended up eating the large breakfast every morning which allowed us to eat a snack at lunch time, cutting meal expenses. We found that even simple meals in Switzerland started at 25 Euro per person (not including drinks). Across the street is the lovely Petersplatz park. It is only a 5 minute walk around the corner and down the stairs to the quaint Gross Basel (old town) area, which is chock full of restaurants, cafes and shops -- not to be missed! If visiting in season, don't miss the outstanding farmers' market with many vendors and food trucks in the old square. Be aware that many of the streets in Gross Basel include steep hills, but there are lots of places to stop and rest while enjoying a coffee and people watching. If you prefer, you can catch a tram 5 minutes away from the hotel that will take you to Gross Basel or anywhere else in town. The public transport system is fantastic. If time permits, take the tram to the train station and travel to beautiful Lucerne for the day.
Cons: I really can't think of anything the Rochat could improve upon. This is a great hotel in an excellent location in a beautiful city on the Rhine. The staff went above and beyond answering our questions, calling taxis, providing maps and even making change for a large bill. I'd like them to remain a secret, but they deserve the high praise that will drive even more customers their way.
Excellent 10.0
The hotel is ideal for a city break. Our room was comfortable, spotless and completely functional. Breakfast was very good indeed. Our only negative observation is that the hotel is almost too functional, it has no real character or splashes of color/art work/pictures to lift it from the ordinary. The illuminated map of Europe in the dining room is a lovely feature but is the only notable one in the entire hotel. A pity as the staff were excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
Excellent 8.5
I chose this hotel because I had never stayed in Switzerland before so didn't want to stay in a chain hotel. When I arrived I wasn't disappointed, it felt very Calvinist and upon my arrival I learnt that the original use of the building was an asylum for alcoholics. As a result they only have zero alcohol beer in the mini-bar. In terms of my stay it was really nice to have a genuine single room and breakfast was brilliant. It is well located and the staff will give you a free pass for public transport as well.
Excellent 9.4
Pros: Wonderful location within walking distance of the river for people taking river boat cruises.
Cons: We were in the new wing so there were many stairs to climb.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Excellent stay as a couple overnight in the brand new part of the hotel just in front the historic one. Spacious silent room, beautiful breakfast, convenient parking lot. Book it in advance, both dinner and parking spot, and you will enjoy Basel at its best. Walking distance from everything worth seeing in Basel and best class comfort to be be found in this city, served by very friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing. Everything beyond expectations
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The staff was very helpful.
Cons: I was disappointed that we were put in the new section across the street. We originally booked this room before Covid struck, so I thought we would get one of the rooms in the main building. The room we got was fine but quite sterile from what I expected
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Pretty much everything. Staff, location, hygiene, service.
Cons: A matter of taste: I prefer the old building with the non-standard rooms above the new building with the standard hotel rooms. The old building makes me feel more at home.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful
Cons: The bedrooms were hot and the blackout blind was broken in one room but otherwise it was lovely
Excellent 8.0
Cons: I was missing towels and cups for some reason...
Excellent 8.0
Cons: The roomservice was lausy .. Never enough tee, towls etc....
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Authentic, stylish, convenient
Excellent 9.1
Pros: Room was clean, comfortable, and had quite modern furnishings. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast included with room.
Cons: Room was not air conditioned. Had to use a small flight of stairs to get to our room, which was cumbersome with luggage.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location of the hotel is perfect to walk around the city. Very close to the trams as well. Hotel was very accommodating for all our needs (we had a dog and also needed an extra bed for our son) and the staff is very friendly in the hotel and the restaurant. We will definitely stay there again when visiting Basel.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Perfectly located for old town. Very clean. Rooms are small but perfectly equipped. Parking arrangement is strong. Good valet service for tough old town parking. Very nice front desk.
Cons: Enjoyed all. Did not have opportunity to try breakfast so can’t comment. Amazing bakery right next door.

Pros: This is our favorite stay in Basel. Great location, very friendly staff, clean and very comfy beds!
Cons: On weekends it gets a bit load at night, but this is so no matter where you stay in the city center.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The room was very clean, neat and the location very central!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Excellent location close to heart of the old city near restaurant and transportation
Excellent 8.5
This was our first stay in a Motel One and we were very pleased with what we got. The hotel is clean and modern. Probably one of the best located hotels I've ever stayed in. Right in the Centre of Basel and within walking distance of restaurants, galleries and shops. Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Room was a very good size, but the bathroom a little small. Nonetheless, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Very good breakfast buffet- large selection of breads, pastries, cheese, meats and yogurt. No cooked option but very good value for money. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Excellent 8.5
Great little hotel right in the heart of Basel, next to shops and plenty of places to eat and drink. The rooms are a little on the small size allowing for the eaves in our room which limited head space but the shower and linen provided were first class. Don't expect a telephone in the room or tea and coffee facilities but still great value for money. Our welcome on arrival at 11 am by reception was great, being provided with our room even at that early hour and the barman was particularly friendly providing us with ice for our room and the latest soccer scores.

Excellent 8.5
We were extremely pleased with our stay at the Hotel Spalentor in Basel. Our room was spacious and modern as was the bathroom. There was plenty of storage in both rooms. We appreciated the fact that the hotel is air-conditioned. It is on a busy intersection and would have been noisy if the windows were open. It is well located, very near Old Town. The hotel has a lovely little garden to sit in for food and drinks. The included breakfast was excellent. WiFi worked great. TV channels in English were most appreciated. The young ladies behind the front desk were delightful--professional, pleasant and helpful. We give the Spalentor high marks.
Excellent 8.5
I booked this hotel for pre-stay before our Viking Cruise. The hotel was perfect and such a great price. The front desk staff were so very helpful and had great suggestions for dinner and things to do. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The location is walk able everywhere. I am also a travel agent and I am very picky. It is well located, very near Old Town. The hotel has a lovely little garden to sit in for food and drinks. The included breakfast was excellent. WiFi worked great. TV channels in English were most appreciated.
Excellent 8.5
Wonderful, clean, quiet and modern. Room was large and comfortable, comfortable beds, small terrace with view of Spalentor gate. Fresh fruit and sparkling water at front desk. Best were the young ladies at front desk, so helpful and sweet, helped with everything, including meal recommendations, transportation, extra pillows. Wonderful location at edge of Old town, near tram lines to other end of Old Town, bus to train station. Just delightful. Thank you for that wonderful stay!
Excellent 8.5
I was in the hotel for three nights. The room was perfect and big, with a nice view ans silent. The staff was great all the time. I used also the parking very close to the hotel for my car. Also the breakfast is very nice with a very good view on the tower! I booked this hotel for pre-stay before our Viking Cruise. The hotel was perfect and such a great price. The front desk staff were so very helpful and had great suggestions for dinner and things to do. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The location is walk-able everywhere. I am also a travel agent and I am very picky. I would highly recommend this hotel and hope to visit again, soon.
Excellent 9.7
Pros: Nice large room. Very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. Great location. Included Tram day passes, but most sites were walkable. Convenient to riverboat docks.
Cons: It was noisy at night if the window was open, but quiet with it shut.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: It was in a good location. We had a corner room overlooking the city gate, so the view was pretty, but a bit noisy. The hotel was comfortable and the staff very welcoming. The only thing that needs upgrading are the towels. They were very thin and scratchy. Theven old town area was very charming, especially since we were there during the holidays. I would stay at this hotel again if in the area.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: We were treated exceptionally by the young lady at reception. She was superb and basically made our stay a pleasure.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Room was clean, breakfast was good and the staff were wonderful! Everyone went out of their way to ensure good service.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The breakfast was excellent, served and wachted over by very friendly staff. Rooms are excellent too, hotel close to the city center. You receive free tickets for the public transport to move around Basel, so that is obvious a big plus. Very spacious lobby.
Cons: The 24 SFR for each day, for parking the car. The rooms are expensive enough. I think this is ridiculous. And you should mention this clearly that these extra costs are not covered for, during your stay at the hotel. Some staff behind the reception were busy with other things and were not noticing us at all when we walked by, or did not greet if they did notice us. I would have given a 9 if the above would not have occurred.
Good 7.0
Pros: The staff was excellent and extra attentive.
Cons: It was too warm and I couldn't sleep so well.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Excellent location. Staff were supper friendly.
Cons: It’s a little confusing to find the parking.
Excellent 8.5
Difficult to find the hotel & car parking as you think you’re driving up a road for trams. Good secure parking under the hotel. €24 is quite steep though. Nice welcome from Vivien on reception who was excellent throughout our stay. Room was spacious with a funky bathroom. Air con was good & bed was comfy. Loved the fact that we got a tourist pass for free travel on the tram. Hotel is easily walk able from the city centre though. Bar was soulless & restaurant was empty. Would definitely recommend hotel or stay again.
Excellent 8.5
We had a one night stop over in Basel on the way home and chose the Pullman Basel. We have no complaints whatsoever. The hotel is conveniently located for the center of Basel and is a very short walk from the tram. Reception was efficient and the whole corporate hotel thing kicked in. Good service, treated respectfully, nothing too much trouble and lots of facilities. The rooms were great with air con, comfortable beds, coffee etc. etc. etc. Breakfast had English style bacon. What a bonus on a Sunday morning!
Excellent 8.5
Nice pleasant hotel with staff who were accommodating and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom functional and clean. The Reception staff gave us the Basel card to use for free transport and discounts to the museums which was really helpful. Definitely the best value for money of all the places we visited in Switzerland.Classic hotel design with attention to detail, spacious rooms and bathrooms. If they would add a splash of color in the rooms they would be fantastic! Breakfast is varied and plentiful and the staff helpful. The location is very convenient, in the more modern part of the town but very close to the bridge that leads to the historical center.

Pros: The appartment was great! Clean, big, nice!
Cons: None
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Convenient family room, very good breakfast!
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.0
Pros: We stayed in this hotel twice in quick succession on our way to and from our main holiday. Both times it was perfect, super friendly and helpful staff, a stylish, clean room and lovely free coffee in the lobby. There's a great supermarket in the centre next door. Highly recommended and thank you!
Cons: n/a
Excellent 9.0
Pros: the staff was friendly and very helpful
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Good location, good rooms and nicely priced.
Cons: Some small problems during checkin but this was very professionally solved by the reception staff.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Nice and comfortable hotel ideally situated on the motorway. Easily reachable city center by public transport. Rooms cleaned and big
Excellent 8.5
Hotel is at a great location near Germany and France border. The tram system which runs 5 minutes away is great for getting to the centre of the city about 20 mins away. In the other direction you can be in France and Germany in 5 minutes. There is a new shopping mall next door which is not fully functional yet but has a supermarket and several food outlets. Also a steak house next to the hotel. Staff in hotel very helpful and a nice outside informal seating area. Rooms of a good size and hotel very clean. Will visit again as a great base for the city.
Excellent 8.5
We were given a wonderful welcome on arrival. We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the rooms. There was a dining area with a good sized refrigerator, microwave oven and kettle with tea, coffee. Equally spacious bathroom. Free tea, coffee, drinks were available in the lobby. There were some games available for the kids to amuse themselves too. We enjoyed our stay very much and highly recommend this hotel! Very good value for money!

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location just couldn't be better - quickly by tram or by foot to the train station. And you're in the very middle of town, amidst restaurants, shops, cafés, bars & cultural venues. The fact that the hotel is in the former detention prison is simply fascinating - our room consisted of two cells knocked together with a small but excellent bathroom included. We loved exploring 'our' part of town - the nicest part of Basel!
Cons: Too bad the VERY fine restaurant in the hotel was so expensive (even more so than most restaurants in Basel!) so we didn't have the SF18 breakfast, but instead took out a picnic breakfast, incl. coffee to go, from the Co-op shop next door.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I would honestly say this hotel is located in one of the the nicest areas of Basel. The staff was so lovely and the breakfast was really good.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Quality food and caring owners
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The location was great and the surroundings beautiful in the old part of the city. The tram stop is close by. The staff was nice and helpful. The breakfast was good, but the dinner at the hotel restaurants did not entirely meet our expectations.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Wonderful location, really friendly and helpful staff. Very accommodating with a little dog.
Cons: Decor a bit dated looking but maybe that the style. Just not to my taste.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The breakfast had a small and nice variety of foods, with good quality products. The dinner in the Brasserie was DELICIOUS (the wine choices were nice - but expensive)! The hotel and rooms were small but very cute - the location in the courtyard above Barfüsserplatz was GREAT. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely come again.
Cons: The beds and pillows weren't as comfortable as other hotels that I have stayed. To be able to tilt the windows would have been nice.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Beautiful hotel in a special place, lot of charme. Very good Brasserie. High level staff. A must for staying in Basel.
Excellent 8.5
Actually I found Basel rather dull until we came to this lovely restaurant for dinner. I'd booked before leaving home and just as well because it fits the category of 'hidden treasure' but the locals know about it. Situated in the courtyard (or a pleasant inside room) of a former convent, then prison, the Violon brasserie is a delight. We sat under the plane trees and were lucky enough to coincide with the asparagus season. Delicious starter of white and green asparagus was only the beginning. The locals were eating steaks so we followed their lead and were not disappointed. The steaks came on the rare side of medium-rare, just as requested. Dessert a classic creme brûlée and excellent advice on wines from a well-considered list. Service efficient and attentive from waiters in white ties. A little bit grand but not at all supercilious. Highly recommended.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: The location is very good, not far from the railway station and from the old town. The host is very helpful and the place is quiet and clean.
Cons: No objections.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Nice house, good service, pleasant owner, good location, good breakfast.....
Excellent 8.0
Pros: the location was close to the Aldstadt, once I figured out the way! Enjoyed the nice bathroom and the roof patio. It was nice to have the use of fridge and coffee machine, and to have breakfast set out for me. Very clean and comfortable.
Cons: There were many stairs - not much can be done about that. The owner did help me get my things upstairs. I thought the room was great, but kept banging my shin on the corner of the bed. It might be better to have a smaller bed in that room, or possibly an arrangement where the edge of the bed is not so close to the wall. There was some traffic noise at night - cars and trains. I would wear earplugs or a headset, at least on the weekends.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The host Adriana is just lovely, and the place is nice and clean. The bathrooms are really great. Location as well.
Cons: If I could wish, a little more for breakfast could be fantastic. But that's not a reason why I wouldn't book this lovely place again.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great place in the city but also on the way to the airport. Nice old building and friendly service.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The place is super clean, close to everything and very . pretty. Such a nice B&B!!! I really recommend it.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The place is amazing! It is located close to the city center and stops of the public transport. Very clean and comfortable (there is a good kitchen as well). And Adriana is a very nice person! She can help with everything and make your feel like at home!

Excellent 10.0
Pros: 1. Super fast email respond. 2. Seemless easy check in 3. Easy parking (paid off course) 4. Friendly staff 5. Very quite neighborhood 6. Freelow coffee/tea, microwave usage at lobby. 7. Common area with nice smells 8. The whole hotel looks like NEW that recently renovated. 9. Wonderful towel, clean bed sheet and super new clean room. 10. Comfortable bed and sofa bed.
Cons: The shower area in the toilet is a foot up split level. User need to be careful especially getting down from shower area with watery floor. I can only imagine an accident waiting to happen.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Friendly, Flexible, Clean
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Large room, comfy bed and fast easy check in/out. I'm also a fan of the free coffee for guest :)
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff is really friendly and we even got some dog goodies for our dog.
Excellent 8.5
A small hotel with brand new rooms and bath. Clean and pleasant with a n excellent breakfast and friendly service. close to public transportation. A free transportation pass on the public trams is included with the room. Great local atmosphere, very personable staff. The small lift saved lugging heavy luggage up the stairs. A two-block walk from the tram, it's easy to get to everywhere you want to go in Basel. The room was quiet with modern appointments. No clock but we had our smart phones and travel alarm. We had a glass of wine in the attached bar each night, watching world cup soccer with the locals. Wonderful place to stay, and not as expensive as places 10 min. away by tram. We were given free tickets for the metro and directions for the way downtown. The metro station is just a short walk away and very easy to find. The ride into town a matter of a few minutes. My only problem with the hotel was the bed was a little too soft for me, but I like a very firm mattress.
Excellent 8.5
The hotel is about ten minutes by tram away from the Basel SSB station, which I feared would be a bit problematic. However, this is Switzerland, where the public transport system is so good that the location of the hotel was more an advantage than a disadvantage (not to forget, you get free public transport included in your stay). It is situated in a very quiet neighborhood. The breakfast is more or less what to expect from a hotel of this type, OK, but not luxurious in any way. The only thing we found a bit disappointing was the opening hours of the reception. We knew beforehand that it wouldn't be open all night, which is fine, but sometimes it would just close one hour or even before before schedule.
Excellent 9.4
Pros: Nice parking. Friendly staff. Free transportation pass.
Cons: No air conditioning

Excellent 8.0
Pros: For a night it was nice to stay over. The Asian guy at the reception was amazing.
Cons: The German receptionist in the morning shift was truly a non sense.
Good 7.0
Pros: Location is good and hotel itself is beautiful.
Cons: We had a one night stay and no doubt the hotel is well located and very beautiful, however the staff is very rude I made them few requests which they rejected very rudely and also in person staff is also rude towards us.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Friendly and helpful personnel, very convenient location and parking garage
Okay 5.0
Pros: There is no one to help with my luggage and no mini bar in the room no coffe machine no iron table the house keeper come to the room 7:50 am to clean the room ???
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Room space, cleaning
Cons: Pay the parking.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Convenient for airport and the city centre, with a bus every 10 minutes to both from outside the hotel. Ample parking, although sadly there is a CHF 15- charge per night for using it. Nice views towards three countries. Decent breakfast.
Cons: We had to ask for the Basel passes - the passes that come with the city tax and allow you unlimited free access to Basel's outstanding public transport.
Excellent 8.5
Good location right on the bus line to the airport. I stopped here to leave my bags overnight with an intended check in the following evening. No problem! We took a quick day trip to Lucerne, then back to stay here the evening before our travels. Clean, comfortable. Welcoming desk staff. Otherwise, not special.
Excellent 8.5
Recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful time. We were greeted by the ever so friendly Antonio who ensured that we were taken care for our entire stay. There is complimentary airport pickup but it wasn't necessary because the public bus (No. 50) drops you right in front of the hotel. The room were clean and very spacious with the only downside being the air conditioning was not cooling properly. Apart from that the location was great and I would definitely stay again. Thank you so much!
