Summary of reviews
Guests say
Guests consistently highlight the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff as a major positive, along with a pleasant pool area and satisfying breakfast offerings. The hotel is considered a good value for money, especially for short stays or as a stopover near the airport. Cleanliness is generally acceptable, though a few guests noted areas for improvement. Some reviews mention that the rooms and bathrooms are basic or dated, and the pool occasionally needs better maintenance. Direct beach access is appreciated, but swimming in the sea is often not possible. Overall, guests find the hotel comfortable and welcoming, especially for the price.

Pros (+) We enjoyed our last 2 days in Sri Lanka at Ziegler Cottage as it is in close distance to the airport (25 minutes with Tuctuc). We cannot say anything negative about the hotel. The rooms were clean, the food was excellent and the people were extremely friendly! It is perfect for a 2 day stay to calm down and relax in a friendly atmosphere.
