Lobby. Room. Tin Roof Bar
Difficult to adjust air to cool. Shower removable spray comes off when water turned on and sprays in face and sprayed wife in hair outside when she used wetting entire room.. Over priced and overrated.
The hotel is quaint and historic but updated with all the modern amenities. It's the best of both world's. Also, I don't think I've ever met a friendlier staff. Folks in NOLA are typically very friendly (and genuinely so), but everyone at the Pontchartrain, from the front desk to the bar to the housekeeping staff, seemed delighted to have us there.
The Garden district is a little removed from the CBD/Quarter area. Prepare to spend $$$ on taxis/Uber if you want to live it up.
